- This is a collection of the Luo names of all the domesticated and wild animals. It is important to get the pronunciation and tonation right otherwise you may be saying something and meaning a totally different thing. Enjoy.
Jobi, diel, Diang , kwach, Liech, bat is olik, hyena is odiek, fox is ikwe, hipo is rao, sheep is romo, so similar😊😊😊
Amazing how similar everything is. We should do a comparative video of all the animals 😎

Erg leuke les, zoveel schitterende wilde dieren in Nyanza en omstreken! Tof om de lokale namen te kunnen leren. Sommige dieren komen hier (Nederland) ook voor: vee uiteraard, maar ook vossen en egels.
Interesting. Ondiegi nyang'au, otoyo, etc... are these different types of hyenas?
Yes. There is spotted hyena, striped hyena, etc. I will research and do a video of the same.
I knew that a horse is called kanyna growing up. Are you familiar with that name as well? Kudos you guys are doing a great job.
Most people use the swahili name faras. Thanks for supporting the channel and please send the video to your friends
A bat is also called oliktiga
You are doing great but your pronunciation of "bwe" is off

I'm a luo from Uganda...some of the things are the same...squirrel is ayita in my language and a monkey is onger
Ayita is the same phonetically. This shows that we are related and the migration pattern has evidence of people sharing a common language along the way from Egypt 🇪🇬.
@@LuoEnglishDictionary you're right, there are different luo dialects spoken in Uganda. the luo consists of 5 tribes namely,; Lango Acholi , jopadhola, kumanyoko and Alur. I am a Lango but I am able to understand people who speak these other languages..I even understand some dholuo
Sorry, my keyboard played games on me🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. I meant kumam
@@ritaapio4024 kumanyoko tena
@@eriqueettours6011 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣why are you so bitter?
Even kisiis call monkey kikondo🤣
