Wonderful instructional presentation ! The dry fire at the end of each shooting session to erase induced flinch is pure genius. Frantz, I note you shoot your rifle much as I shoot my shotgun...i.e. left hand farther out on the fore end and with the index finger pointing parallel the barrel to the target. The red dot sight for me makes it much less worrisome about getting another scope ocular crescent scar above my eye brow. I think I will take my .22LR out here for Texas jackrabbits in the snow and cottontail rabbits in the pasture at night standing in the bed of a pickup/bakkie/ute. Years ago we shot rats in the dump at night but now that is no longer allowed...too bad..with a red dot on a .22LR would be wonderful practice for our feral hogs at a feeder station with a rifle mounted shooting light [ allowed here in Texas ]. I have come down from .300WM to .270Win and now 6.5 CM as the bullets have improved; Barnes X / Hornady GMX / Nosler E-tip etc. What calibre and bullet weight do you use now ? { I had a one shot kill on a Cape Buff with 160 gr Barnes X from my 7x57mm at 142 paces } I too shoot a straight pull action...R93 in my case , as it disrupts my sight picture less. Thanx for sharing
