Please show the full video/sequence. This is really helpful not only for driven boar hunters but for any driven game hunters in any part of the world. Better shooting equals better and more humane hunting!
Imagine Franz with a self-loading rifle with a 30 shot magazine. No more pigs in that region, I suppose, unless he relaxed a bit in the hunt, wich I know he would in that case. On the other hand, he seems so skilled, so the self-loading feature may be useless for him :)
No, in hunting-cinemas such as this one, most prefer to use 'cineshot' which is a specially developed type of bullet that doesn't fuck up the screen too much.
it is because they are using a thumbhole stock I think, it is actually a more relaxed stance with a thumbholestock if you pull your elbow down holding a pistolgrip or thumbholestock you tense up
Have you ever watched the show with this dude called Wild Boar Fever? 95 % of their shots are not over 25 yards with an Aimpoint scope with both eyes open. If the boar go by at 45 to 50 yards they don't even shoot at them. With a rifle shooting 3,000 feet a second just put the dot on the boar's head and its a done deal. Hes not doing anything that a good hunter that knows his gun can't do in the same situation. Its just hype.
Oh, I do so wish I could see you try to "just put the dot on the boar's head" when you are very cold, very excited, said boar is crossing at an angle through trees at about 40 mph. I could make a crude comment but there's no point--in your case, ignorance is bliss.

Yes, a primitive redundancy in his estimation..
Are they firing blanks?

Because he is a European hunter, not some US American shooter.
Except, Franz is capable of shooting a pig per second with trees everywhere. But I guess "good" is relative.
Just some random US "hunter" could be dumb enough to say something like that.
just put the dot on the boars head and its a done deal. just like that? thats all? alright elmer fudd.
