I get irrationally disappointing that total garbage gets 100 million views on youtube but this amazing song written and performed by an amazing artist is relatively obscure. I love Nina Gordon!
Can't believe it's been 20 years since this song came out. The first time i heard it on the radio in SF as a young 20-something starting out on my own, I was so struck by it. I used to wait in the car for it to come on amd just sit and listen to it....this was before mp3s and youtube! Nina Gordon needs more airtime and recognition.
Never got over her gorgeous voice since i heard it for the first time around late 2000, can't believe she didn't become a mega star. I guess people were too focused on Britney, Christina and the boy bands of that era to even notice her, but i certainly did.
I love Nina Gordon and Louise Post , Veruca Salt is the best , Nina Gordon and Louise Post are the best musicians who can always definitely bring the me out of my shell that I'm always trapped in , I never get tired of their music 🎶 🎵
If you like this song look up Benjamin & Aurora by Veruca Salt. If you aren't familiar, that was the band she was in with Louise Post before this song was released. Both songs are very beautiful.
I don't know about the rest of her solo stuff, but I love this song. I love it when someone can shift genres like that. Veruca Salt was a kick ass punk type rock band. And this is a total departure from that. ❤
Other than the song, the best part of the video is when Conan refers to Nina as “the leader of Veruca Salt”. He knew that without Nina, there was no Veruca Salt.
I heard this song on a pa a few months back...I was surprised. I can't remembe where I was...a grocery store or maybe the Virgin Hotel (former the Hard Rock Hotel) in Vegas.
💙 I 🤍 JUST 💙 WANNA 🤍 CRY 💙 I knew her like twenty years ago as I watched the third season of Charmed... and fell desperately in love with her and the song. Long before my first internet package ever... A TORTURE
Wow. I think all I listened to at college was Nina Gordon. Got through a tough times. Bittersweet memories. 😔😌 And I miss when Conando hosted the Tonight Show. (Hated it when Jay took it back. No offense to Jimmy Fallon. Love him too. ) but Conan put a smile on my face every night. And helped me get through it all too. 💗 (I now have cable so I can watch him on tbs now. )
Amazing is how there's actually a fair amount of amateur covers of this song from the very early years of TH-cam but as far as I know there has yet to be more high-end power metal cover of this
Within Temptation could do it, but everyone else, not sure. Maybe Nightwish, but with their second singer, not the first or new one. It has to keep that perfect vocal overlap with the harmony to punch you right in the soul like she does.
This song... it's from another time and place and my guess is it just happened to her. Emotion inducing just in its epiphanous beauty. In a way i'm glad it didn't become massive, it belongs somewhere more special
Upon 2nd watch, I think I was only partially correct. Yes, that is 2/5 of the “classic” Cleo lineup (Stacy and USA)… but I think the bass player here might be the one and only Joe Klompus! He’s been with Cleo since they reunited more recently. So, really, it’s 3/5 of CURRENT Cleo! Pretty neat
I could never figure out whether her husband or Nina owned that green SG. There's video of him playing on a few live Tonic videos and most live vids of her she has it.
She is one of the most underated artists, i wish she was as big as she deserves to be. Forever on my playlist babes x

I'm with you!
Here, take my like!
Agreed for example Selena Gomez who can’t sing
I didnt know about this song. Not sure if it sound in my country . I ‘m surprised about this artist 👏👏👏
For real man you and me both.
I was crushing on her so much back in these days. Little hottie with an astounding voice...
This song reminds me of a life that i will never get back. I cry every time i hear this
Underrated song , beautiful TALENTED woman

This song is SO beautiful. The album doesn’t live up to it.
Great song. She's so beautiful
What a fabulous voice. She doesn't oversing and has tremendous passion and power. Her pitch is absolutely perfect.
There's a misconception that punk musicians have no talent.
One day I will feel like this again..
Few singers are lucky enough to have that 'angelic' quality in their voice... she's got it
Nina is GOREGOUS!! ❤❤❤❤❤

Awesome song from 22 years ago...I am surprised this song did not get more airplay. Probably my favorite song that year!!
Beautiful song and individual.
Look how adorable she is. What a little doll. And what a song she wrote. An all-timer, IMO.
Sings, looks great and plays guitar... this woman is the complete package 👌🏼
It’s why Veruca Salt sucked after she left.
Classic made... she's smart. I wish she made a whole album in this vein
Now that would be a rock opera worth diving into. Even a cover of the Who's ,Love, Reign O'er Me, would fit along side.
Tufts University Class of 1989.
I love Nina Gordon and Louise Post , Veruca Salt is the best , Nina Gordon and Louise Post are the best musicians who can always definitely bring the me out of my shell that I'm always trapped in , I never get tired of their music 🎶 🎵
I'm so glad I saw her on 3 dates of that tour. Her and Stacy were such cool people!
This song is so beautiful 😻❤️
I miss the 90's
A very underrated song.
The world is filled with them, while so many total trash tunes make millions. The machine is not fair, and the machine doesn't care.
Can't figure out why this was not a nationwide hit.
in some ways it was, it was playing on the tv screens on a loop at Target when it came out.
Blame the machine. It controls everything.

Beautiful. That album has a dreamy cover of the oldie "The End of the World," also. Under-rated. Shout-out to another talented Chicagoan.
This song ❤ I remember it well
Goosebumps. All. Over.
Ok, that was awesome.
Nina Gordon has such a angelic voice oh is she an amazing performer👏😄😍❤
I love Nina Gordon, she's so amazingly talented and has a great personality!
I love Nina... in VS. I'm not old enough for this adult contemporary whatsit.
Makes me cry every time I listen to it.. her voice has the power to do so!
Me too. Makes me well up with emotion...
This song gives me chills every time.
I love that she is singing live! Really hate when singers lip sync
I don't know about the rest of her solo stuff, but I love this song. I love it when someone can shift genres like that. Veruca Salt was a kick ass punk type rock band. And this is a total departure from that. ❤

I heard nina gardener,lol...i heart nina gordon,that was beautiful😎
Absolutely mind blowing!

💙 I 🤍 JUST 💙 WANNA 🤍 CRY 💙

it would make an excellent MV tribute for Supernatural's Castiel as well. "down to the earth I fell, with dripping wings..."

Blame NBC. Was all their fault
A very special song for me
This is so beautiful. 🥺
With VS or without an amazing underrated talent. And yes, the Seether's Louise ;)
💜💜💜💜💜
❤

😎
Una canzone bellissima ❤
A Veruca salt song, sung in the style of Sarah Mclachlan
:swoon:
That’s 2/5 of Letters to Cleo up there!
I didn't know that
Upon 2nd watch, I think I was only partially correct. Yes, that is 2/5 of the “classic” Cleo lineup (Stacy and USA)… but I think the bass player here might be the one and only Joe Klompus! He’s been with Cleo since they reunited more recently. So, really, it’s 3/5 of CURRENT Cleo! Pretty neat
Haha never knew that she came from Veruca Salt
This song is intro to Charmed season 3 episode 10 and they fade out just as it gets interesting and I had to go search for it.
That is exactly how I knew her 😍 When I think it was 20 years ago... brrrrrr!
I learned of it on the trailer for Captain Corelli's Mandolin, 2001. Yeah, it's been a long while, but it keeps me coming back.
I could never figure out whether her husband or Nina owned that green SG. There's video of him playing on a few live Tonic videos and most live vids of her she has it.
50/50 marriage?
For the longest time I thought this was sung by Madonna.
America's next talent shows are geared toward young people but Nina would be right up there... otherwise grasp obscurity lol
is that the Seether chick?
Oh hey Conan how is Kate Hudson
Not the leader of Verruca Salt. Post and Gordon were equals.
