Probably so....dayum he smoked them. I did that once or twice. But on the red river out of Coushatta ,LA years ago in the jungle we caught fish every cast. Nothing massive. Average 1.5 to 3 pound on plum apple worm Texas rigged. about 400 or so fish between 3 os us in a few hours.
This past spring I went way up a creek during a flood. I hooked 65 straight fish on a flooded road culvert. I stopped because the culvert kept me from going any farther. I ended up with 87 fish that I would say went a pound with some of them 2-3 pounds. I never moved the boat and caught them all in about 2 1/2 hours. The funny thing is when a buddy called and asked how the fishing was I said, "Let's put it this way, I would win any Major League Fishing event ever." I would be scared to guess how many pounds I had. Best day I've had in over 40 years of fishing bass. It does happen which is why I never stay at home no matter the conditions. Love this format.
that was awesome to watch live! Evers killed it congrats to him! That was a nice little congratulations video you guys put together with his father and everything as well
I've often told people that we are spoiled with this kind of fishery in our backyard. Just imagine if he got into a big school, I'm talking nothing smaller than 2lbs at least every other cast. As epic as this was. People have no idea what this body of water is capable of. Congrats brother, people here need to step up there game. I'm glade you guys are here to show what experienced anglers can do in a fishery like this.
What amazes me most is the fact that depsite the hurry of the contest, Edwin takes time to release his fishes respectfully, meanwhile some angling youtubers throw their bass as if it was poop. Congrats from France Edwin, this is a very good example I showed to my 11' son.
I don’t care what anyone says, MLF is the coolest freakn format hands down! I know that some say it’s a dink fest, but in my mind fishing isn’t just finding just the biggest fish, it’s about finding the fish! Simply awesome!
The Mississippi river is overlooked by many. You could fish 10 miles of it for a few yrs and probably not hit every hole in the stretch. So many logs, wing dams, backwaters, dam pools, structure changes, bends, holes and eddys. I love fishing it.
He did the same thing to win the cup at lake istapoga Florida back when major league fishing first started.. Way to go Edwin!! Great job buddy!! Your all over em .
It was fun watching this event live at the MLF Midway in La Crosse area. The whole crowd was getting into it when E2 was literally catching one every cast. Even the first cast after the 2min penalty! haha
What a day you most of had Edwin I had heard about this video called the honey hole but had never seen it till now what an amazing day that most of been great job.
Honey hole is an understatement. That's like a honey crater he's on. He's throwing different baits, different colors, different retrieves, doesn't matter. Question I have is this. Would you rather catch 75 fish in the 1-2.5lb range or 5 Giants. I'm not a great bass fisherman, I'm mainly a saltwater fisherman actually, so I'd love to catch 75 bass. However, Edwin has caught thousands, tens of thousands of 1-2.5lb bass in his career so I wonder what he'd say. MLF is fun to watch and I love it. However, something about a guy, say a 72 year old at the time named Rick Clunn, catching a massive limit coming back from 9lbs down on a final day is still just as exciting to me. It's great to have both, we are now spoiled!
Third lake is awesome in early and late fall . Lot of small ones but it's always fun . Best day was 62 fish 3 years ago ! Wisconsin rocks ! There is a back way to get in there but for personal reasons I can't tell you ! Cash might make me talk !
I bet that the other pro anglers sitting down an eating popcorn watching Evers emptying that spot . Okay guys Evers finished all of you can start now !!! Insane !!!!
A very KVD like performance, like when ever a tournament is up north and Kevin gets on a school of smallies. Kevin is always lights out, and Edwin was rolling just the same.
3:46 look at how many powerbait packages are behind him on the step to the deck. I’m 99.9% sure he’s throwing a chartreuse bass puzzle grass piece..should have just named it bass piece- it’s unreal how it comes thru grass. Chartreuse, black blue ,shed white and green pumpkin .. right after spawn allll you need is that and a 🐸.. and a fluke..a fluke shines in post spawni. Good work man you crushed it ..let’s go get it 300k 🎣 💪 🏆
Me and a bro of mine caught 100 plus in basically a ditch between the interstate. The water was falling and the bass were feeding. We were using black and pearl crankbaits by bandit. We started cramping too. The exact spot is in rahma louisiana. It's a small run out coming of the atchafalaya river north part of the basin. I didn't bring my go pros that day lol. I've actually had a few trips like that there in same area. No big fish. They were all 12 to 14 inches. It's still a blast!!
Congratulations to Edwin Evers... for 300 grand he stepped on the competition's neck. He slid in through the back door and just took the wheel. All gas no brakes
Everyone is telling their fishing story so I will join in. One day out of the 82 million times I have went fishing. I caught 200 bass. All 1.5 to 2.5 pounds. Nearly all on a crappie jig. A good day. Oh btw, that same crappie jig caught a 51lb catfish one night. It took a hour to get it in on 6lb test line. If you go enough you will have some good days.
This is actually a rare day that barely ever happens gotta have the perfect amount of everything everything has to be perfect for the bass to be schooled like that in one area
Once in a large Maryland pond I used a black spinnerbait after a hard rain, in front of eight different culvert pipes to land 54 bass that evening. Never anything like it ever happened to me again.
This dude just caught more bass in a 15 minute stretch than I’ll catch on a GOOD weekend haha In all seriousness, I’ve never seen one quite this intense but I have seen a few frenzy bites with the chatterbait...particularly in the fall. There will be some set of conditions that just click and all of the sudden your chatterbait is getting demolished on nearly every cast. I’ve heard of guys having similar experiences with lipless cranks, too.
Hate the MLF format this is dumb we want to see them fish for big fish not fire up a school of dinks. I'm mildly annoyed all the hammers went to MLF I'll just continue to watch FLW and Elite series...
Rumor has it, he is still out there catching fish to this day.......
Jimmy Gibson ok Steve.....
😐
To this day ?
This day
This man just caught more fish in ten minutes than I have my entire life, good grief.
I’m truly think that’s a true statement. And I fish a lot lol
This past spring I went way up a creek during a flood. I hooked 65 straight fish on a flooded road culvert. I stopped because the culvert kept me from going any farther. Love this format.
I cant imagine what it would be like
That's one of those experiences where only people who have experienced that will believe it, that being said, that's a crazy day of fishing!
That is my absolute dream. What an incredible experience.
Record i would of watch it
Had a similar day once but was in falling water in a creek mouth. Caught 76 and never moved the boat. Most fun i've had fishing in all my life.
I wish they would have shown the other angler's reactions when the score tracker update was given. 😂😂🤯🔥
Good grief that was awesome to watch. Congrats goes out to E2.
Like the vido
I never get tired of watching this.
I’ve caught bass 3-4 casts in a row, but never like this. An amazing and awesome day for an awesome fishermen!
This is literally mental...to see any fisherman do this is just...wow! Bravo brother, I'm thoroughly impressed.
that was awesome to watch live! Evers killed it congrats to him! That was a nice little congratulations video you guys put together with his father and everything as well
My, Father SAID! Son. This is the day you fish for your whole life. Enjoy it! It only comes once in a life time. Congrats! E2. Shawn

He is just a bad ass! loved watching him fish Yea I am watching this in 2022 but man that guy ooozes confidence.
That's a $300,000 smile. Great fishing!!! 🤙
Probably the most amazing thing I've ever seen in professional bass fishing. Never seen anyone catch em like E2 caught em.
Jacob Wheeler with the 100+ record Was pretty insane
Outstanding Evers best that I have seen in my 77 years Milton
That was incredible. I never been so entertained watching someone else fish. MLF has just earned a regular viewer. Phewee!
Loved watching this live! I had to watch it again! Just spectacular! Congrats Edwin!!!
Thats the craziest thing I’ve ever seen. It’s 2022 and word has it Edwin is still catching them.
What amazes me most is the fact that depsite the hurry of the contest, Edwin takes time to release his fishes respectfully, meanwhile some angling youtubers throw their bass as if it was poop. Congrats from France Edwin, this is a very good example I showed to my 11' son.
Yes and I have called several of those TH-camrs on this exact thing....they always say some dumb crap as an excuse.
It's the rules, don't get it twisted, if he could he'd be chunking them in too
I don’t care what anyone says, MLF is the coolest freakn format hands down! I know that some say it’s a dink fest, but in my mind fishing isn’t just finding just the biggest fish, it’s about finding the fish! Simply awesome!
I watched this happen live! It was amazing to watch it again! What a way to finish off this awesome year!
This was not a “regular” tournament. The MLF format will be the future of the sport for so many different reasons.
@@fishingwiththad681 Exactly who is gonna pay the marshalls in the local derbys? and where ya gonna come up with say 90 people to do this
In most of my derby’s I have a co-angler! Problem solved.
I had to leave for a B-day party with grand kids and that's what I missed. WOW!
That is definitely a once in a lifetime spot!
Congratulations I enjoyed watching you fishing......marvellous......the best I've ever watched.......God bless you.....(Lumut MALAYSIA)
It was fun watching this event live at the MLF Midway in La Crosse area. The whole crowd was getting into it when E2 was literally catching one every cast. Even the first cast after the 2min penalty! haha
Banner year Edwin!! Its soo cool to see one of my fav bassmasters that i have been watching since the 90's at his absolute best! Bravo man!! Fish on!!
What a day you most of had Edwin I had heard about this video called the honey hole but had never seen it till now what an amazing day that most of been great job.
Insane! Amazing! Love MLF Fishing.
It takes me 2 fishing trips to catch as many fish as he caught in 10 minutes....well maybe 4 trips
29 for me:(
Agreed
Absolutely awesome!! Congratulations!! 😀😀😳😳😀😀💪💪👊👊👍
Couldn't go to a more deserving guy....way to go Edwin!......can say what you want he was catching on every cast
Blessed day for Edwin
What amazing Run this reminds me of fishing the Penobscot River in Maine for the bronze backs!
That is still the greatest thing I’ve ever seen!
Man that's a workout! Right place, right time, right bait.
The stars and planets aligned
That’s not fishin it’s called catchin😂😂. That was so awesome!!
The camera men on these boats are no joke!! Recording in all weather conditions and temps would be tough.
Man. Evers that was crazy... Congratulations....😎
That was beyond amazing!

Are you kidding me! A blessing from God...
Every. Single. Cast.

No takers?
Man oh man, this is something else
I bet that the other pro anglers sitting down an eating popcorn watching Evers emptying that spot . Okay guys Evers finished all of you can start now !!!
Insane !!!!

This was incredible to watch live
Now that's how u put on a show
Epic bass slammin’
Great win and great season!!👌👊
Guy got it done respect 🙌 👏 👌
Dude i PRAY for a day like this on the water
A very KVD like performance, like when ever a tournament is up north and Kevin gets on a school of smallies. Kevin is always lights out, and Edwin was rolling just the same.

The best fishing hole in history!!!!!Congratulations Edwin you are AWESOME!#RippinLipsInc on YOU TUBE!
That's amazing. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
Congratulations to Edwin Evers... for 300 grand he stepped on the competition's neck. He slid in through the back door and just took the wheel. All gas no brakes
That's some great fishing🎣🤙🏼 man all I throw is a chatterbait nd I don't catch nothing close lol. Much respect nd Congrats🎣🤙🏼
All I can say is WOW!!🤯🤯🤯

Spectacular Edwin!
At 13:21 Edwin has the look of Squints when he got to kiss Wendy Peffercorn in the Sandlot! 😜👌
Just amazing!
Double E that had to be an incredible feeling. Ridiculous!
Those fish sure were mighty hungry. Good thing you brought plenty of worms. Great job Edwin.
Im wore out after watchn that........awesome job EE
I caught 5 on Sunday and thought I had a good day this is a great day
This is actually a rare day that barely ever happens gotta have the perfect amount of everything everything has to be perfect for the bass to be schooled like that in one area
Plot twist: the fish just wanted to know which one of them weighed the most
That’s kinda funny.
“Pick me, pick me!”
Couldn't have found a better Honey Hole . Sweet .
Once in a large Maryland pond I used a black spinnerbait after a hard rain, in front of eight different culvert pipes to land 54 bass that evening. Never anything like it ever happened to me again.
Daaamn..all them basses waiting their turn
I’ve done this several times with 60-75 bass each time. It took a few hours each time but still fun
I miss this format!
I fished tournaments for 10 years never saw a day like this on any lake.
This dude just caught more bass in a 15 minute stretch than I’ll catch on a GOOD weekend haha

Unbelievable I go fishing and dont catch anything man I would love to go fishing with this guy
This is an epic beat down
Speechless 😳😳
How does the scoring work?
Unreal run. Absolutely epic.
Fish on!!! Every cast that is!! Haha good job! Btw what lure was he using?
Vibrating jig
@@hunterdavenport21
In another video he says its a Jackhammer with a Berkley the deal swimbait.. Jackhammer by zman i believe
He took some of the best fisherman in the world out behind the barn and spanked em'! 😳 🎣
Phenomenal! Love the MLF format! By old rules he would ended up with only 10lb (best of 5).
Hate the MLF format this is dumb we want to see them fish for big fish not fire up a school of dinks. I'm mildly annoyed all the hammers went to MLF I'll just continue to watch FLW and Elite series...
I’m 26, dude just caught more fight in this time than I’ve even seen or caught with my buddies lol, caught enough to stock a pond.
I'm not going to say it's all luck cuz he is a pro he definitely has extreme skills and knowledge, but he just found a dream spot right there.
What was he using?
So...what was his final weight???
It was 86-10
Thanks man!
No problem!
It’s sad because if it was a five bass limit format he would’ve had to leave all of those fish after he caught five to find some bigger ones
Mind blown
Wow!!! What a fisherman!!!
what is he using
Wonder what he used
What r those tips at the end of the pole?
What were the baits was he catching them on?
This happens to me all the time. Except, the bass I catch average about 2 to 4 ounces each. 🤓👍🏽😎🎣
