Production value improves every video (I make commercials for a living and fly). Keep up the great work. Kevin needs to build his flying hours, but now with a boat, you know that's not happening.
Welcome back Mojo, you are just looking pristine👌Well that was sure hectic, it certainly helps having a controller in the right seat when its crazy busy😉I love your gorgeous boat, you guys are sure living the life😁Fantastic video Mindy👍The area sure took a pounding from Hurricane Ian, its very sad to see the devastation!
He's a great controller. I fly a 2009 Cessna Corvalis. Coming into home base KFMY Sunday afternoon, at 300' tower ordered me to go around due to slower traffic. I was fully committed to land, full flaps and speed brake up. Its a challenge to get that plane flying again at that point. N43TT
Hey guys, nice flight. It is always busy here at FMY. With ATP and Paragon, plus all the jet traffic, this is busy airspace. I am picking up my flight training after 20 years, based at Paragon, and this keeps ya hoppin. I love your aircraft....beautiful.
I flew a lot out of that country road... in the late 70s. It was nice to view my old stomping grounds! As an older ATC it was a bit of stimulation listening to his full pattern working. Looking forward for the follow up video. Have a great day!
Nice plane and nice boat. The center councils are the thing down there not so much here in the midwest. Being in fl I think you are going to want a bimini top, but not sure how you will get it to lay flat with the stand over the motor, maybe just in front? Couldn't figure out what lake that is, but our favorites are lake eustis, and lake dora, and make sure you hit the dora canal if you do. Love spending the winters down there, not so much the summers lol.
Very nice video and an awesome plane and boat! I love your panel, it is very close to mine. For anyone with a GFC 500 AP, I suggest you use the altitude knob on the AP rather than touching the screen and using the GI 275 knob to select an altitude. Really fun to watch you fly, you are very professional and I learn something every flight.
I got a beavertail mosquito. You’ll love that poling platform over any other. It is so roomy. I only have a Yamaha 70 on mine but the mosquito are aren’t as large as your. That looks like an Air or something. Nice deal; welcome to the BT family 🤙🏻 call Harry if you need any work done with yours or custom additions. He works with BT and is one of the friendliest guys in their office imo.
NICE!! This is the Vengeance...all the BT's are just fabulous. We met Harry at the boat show in the video. He was fantastic and spent a lot of time with us. Where do you normally fish?
Wow! I'm glad this video popped up in my feed. That was an amazing flight!. That was a very busy airport 🛫 I can't wait to see your fishing adventures in your new boat! You have a new subscriber ✌️👽
Just a bit different than flying 2RF Mindy....... Forget about Disney, the happiest place on earth is at the controls of your own classic skylane...... And "Wings & Waves" is a winner. Love your new boat!
Love the videos guys!!!!! Of course been following since the beginning!!!!! When you get a chance, can you explain what that beaver tail does. Been a boater for along time too and never heard of it!!!! Thanks For takin the time to do these videos for us!!!!! Blue Skies and Blue smooth waters!!!!!!
I mindy and Kevin hope you are well and enjoying your boating and your fishing.philip likes your boat it looks awesome hope you enjoy your boating adventure on a hot summer's day what a way to spend your day fishing. I would love that as well as flying airoplanes. Kevin are you still losing the fishing competition who's court the most fish on your boat. Take care and have fun phil.
Very much enjoy your videos, particularly the detailed explanations. In searching for your 182 Skylane, did you consider one of the "historic" 182-RG? I do know that you often land on grass fields for which RG's are not best suited for but I think that 182-RGs are beautiful. Saw the series on TH-cam of one going transatlantic.
HAHAHA dude you went to Naples you know the pistons get the centerfield parking spots. Try Key West on a VFR day with the airlines rolling through it's a PITA as well. I was in RSW last Sunday, crazy the blue tarps and the debris. Fly over Pine Island and Sanibel it's really sad but a great buying opportunity
Just wondering if their is any difference in landing challenges between your plane and Max’s? Imo, it looks harder in your plane, less power, bigger wing area?, than when you land the citation. Just curious and I am enjoying your vids with your husband. Great views from your plane being so much lower, love it.
Hi, I guess you know that the word BOAT stands for "bring on another thousand". I would imagine you will need some form of sun shade on the boat to protect you from the elements. Enjoying your channel. All the best with the fishing and flying.
I always feel stupid commenting like this. Schmiiindy: I finally found your channel. Tried to come over a couple weeks back after seeing you on CitationMax's channel. Whoa Boy ! What a beautiful Florida 182 ! By that I mean silver, black, and teal. Seriously awesome winngs.
I like how these pilots always say "clear" and then hit the starter immediately. If someone did happen to walk up they would need time to acknowledge and get out of the way. Maybe say clear wait a little bit say clear again wait a little bit more and then hit the starter.
You commented your older C182 is slower than the later models. What type of true airspeed and fuel burn do you typically see? We are looking for an older model C-182 Thanks
They are called power poles! In shallow water (what this boat is designed for) the poles go down into the ground and act as an anchor to keep you in place
who needs a boat , get a set of aerocet 3400 amphibs on that plane of yours . especially in Florida , here in British Columbia Canada floats are a necessity . :-)
Curious why didn’t you have cowl flaps added when you had that amazing makeover done? Isn’t there a kit available? Edit: Ofcourse I imagined you guys getting a little run about like a 17’ Boston Whaler. Silly me. NICE BOAT!!!
I’m not aware of a way to add them but not to say there’s not….It’s not really a big issue just something we have to watch closely especially in summer.
No flight following? I thought controllers would rather be talking with pilots than not? Belay that remark. Negative MOJO, the pattern is full. Mindy’s face and comment when the controller asked for the Charlie 2 turn off…priceless! Boat looks amazing! You’ll have to start a fishing channel now.
@@klindy_07 yes, I did write that comment before you called Fort Myers 😕. I listen to the Opposing Base podcast where the two controller/pilot hosts preach Flight Following.
Check out all the blue tarp roofs while we are circling around Ft Myers. From Hurricane Ian. So sad!
And a massive amount of restoration has already taken place. A very long way to go. Love flying with you!
It’s a mess. They literally flew over my house.
You guys are LIVING the DREAM! 😵💫
You are always teaching
Love these guys!!Pilot for a long time! You got it girl!!Master Pilot!!
Great video guys 👍🏼
Kevin is like the happiest dude, cracking me up. That’s the kind of guy to have a beer with after a flight
I like that you guys include the majority of the flight and the details. Happy flying!
That was fun. Your 182 is beautiful. Thanks for taking us along!
thank you!
Flying and fishing. Everything else is superfluous.
Production value improves every video (I make commercials for a living and fly). Keep up the great work. Kevin needs to build his flying hours, but now with a boat, you know that's not happening.
Thank you!! Haha when we bought the boat I said “Great, I’ll never see you again” 😂 He said “you will see me…..on the boat” lol
Awesome happy days.keep enjoying life Phil 👍🍀😁
Living the dream and making countless memories. Enjoy!!!!

It is SURE nice having ATC on-board - yes! A treat to be able to spilt up duties. Thank you!!!
My family used to be in the boat business. They were always my first love. Have great fun with it. Great video as always.
Yeah. Not much can beat time on the water….you know 😁
Ya'lls 182 is awesome ! Great channel !
I love the color scheme of your plane.
Love all your content Mindy , great success at LMA , maybe some more fun videos with Stevo ?
That has to be the most beautiful plane I've ever seen! Great videography, especially the boating segment. 👍
Congratulations on the new skiff. Beautiful boat!
Nothing cooler than seeing your house on a video! Ha welcome to ft. Myers.

NICE nice plane. One of my all time favorites. But yeah, I can see how cleaning that up may take a moment!!
That’s too cool y’all are taking off where I did my flight training at first landing to my home airport pagefield. I’m Late but welcome to Fort Myers.
That’s quality living guys! If I could’ve liked this video twice, I would’ve!😊
Awesome, Happy Fishing!!!!!!!
Super nice C-182, I like watching the flight videos, it's like I'm right there on the flight.
OMG, nice boat. Perfect choice. Also some great drone work there Kevin.
Beautiful boat!
Great video Captain Mindy.
I came here for the flying. But I was so happy when I saw the sunset drone shots of the boat. 🤩

I feel in love with that plane.
Awesome! Great when good people get good stuff!
I literally Smiled for the entire Video. You guys are so genuine Keep up the good work.
I love your 182, it is absolutely beautiful, love you videos.
My new favorite channel! Classic Cessnas and boats AND fishing!
I like that! Good choice.
I learned to fly in a 182A! Your plane brings back memories!
What a plane to learn in! Love it!
@@Schmiiindy I think so too, I own a R182 now.
N5522S on the radio I used to fly a couple of times… good memories… enjoying your videos very much. Thx, greetings from Germay
Ha, that is always neat to recognize an old tail # on freq.
Great content! Awesome example of the crowded airspace we live with in parts of Florida! Helps to have two who know what they are doing!
Looks like a nice Skiff, love the power pole.

Can you make it mandatory that no matter who’s at the controls that he hollers “CLEAR” every time?!?! 🤣😂🤣😂 cracks me up every time

Safe travels and may your line be tight
Nice video!
Thumbs up 👍 add in a fishing day 🐟🎏
Great approach video. Nice boat also.
Nice boat guys !!
Great Video. You where circling my house in N. Ft. Myers during your hold. Would love to take you guys fishing in Homosassa one weekend..
Pretty unique color on your plane.

It’s made to go in super shallow water! It will draft in 8 in. So we can take it pretty much anywhere a kayak can go
We were just at the Miami Boat Show….
I imagine that thing will scoot on pretty good with the 115XS. Very cool boat.

Did not - wasn't looking to get into retractable as Kevin was a new pilot at the time and insurance gets tough on Retract. Cool planes though!
Wondering, how much total for that mistake (mechanics, parts etc) thank you
I’ve noticed you reduce rpm even before rolling. Is there a particular reason for it? Serious question 🙋🏻♂️ 😅.
Take the new boat to the Dora Canal (short drive from Apopka). The Fish Camp Lake Eustis (north end of the canal) has fantastic food and drinks
Just screenshotted your comment - we’re on it!! Added to our list thank you!
Que Via, nice
Brilliant restore. Like going back in time to 1957.
Did you use chrome paint or highly polished and buffed aluminum?
It's polished bare aluminum :) Thank you
Just brilliant. Wonder if there is a way to add cowl flaps in an older model.
Negative Ghost Rider! The pattern is full! 🤣
Mindy, you are an incredible pilot. When do we see Kevin build some hours

I would say the main difference is our plane is so much lighter obviously, and gets pushed around by wind a lot more during landing
Hi, I guess you know that the word BOAT stands for "bring on another thousand". I would imagine you will need some form of sun shade on the boat to protect you from the elements. Enjoying your channel. All the best with the fishing and flying.
Yes! I was thinking of a simple big umbrella and just put it up in the rod holder when we take a break from the sun 😅 thank you!

Whoa Boy ! What a beautiful Florida 182 ! By that I mean silver, black, and teal. Seriously awesome winngs.
Maybe the guy was looking at you because you were headed for him. 🤣 I noticed a lot of blue tarps on the roofs as a result of the hurricane.😟
You should always let the hubby yell “clear”. He does it with personality 😂😂
Agree. Lol
I like how these pilots always say "clear" and then hit the starter immediately. If someone did happen to walk up they would need time to acknowledge and get out of the way. Maybe say clear wait a little bit say clear again wait a little bit more and then hit the starter.

hahaha
Did you get a casting platform for the bow?
No, just the poling platform on the back
Very nice boat. I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with it. Plus it's so light that it should tow like a breeze.
How are you handling not having a runway in your backyard anymore?
Great! Traded it for this lake which boating/fishing is our other biggest passion in life and now I see my family every day :)
@@Schmiiindy Family is important. Looks like it was a great move for you!

Haha a float plane would be fun but we are too technical of fisherman to itch our fishing bug without a dedicated boat. We're needy, I know. Lol

Both! LOVE them and love the vintage look
