Do as I say not do as I do - Love the discussion on PPE and the standard adherence in practice. The Wessex site terrified me; they look as though they are dressed to handle Uranium isotope 235. Thank you doctor.
Hi John, I do recommend people wear PPE as it says it on the instructions. However some PPE obscures your vision such as goggles, it makes it more likely to knock stuff over and come into contact. As I was applying very small amounts very slowly the risk is minimal and with a fresh water supply to hand if I did need to wash down. Yet I live to tell the tale unscathed. Hope it helped in some way. All the best Rob
Despite the instructions being to effectively "paint on" the red and green solutions, the guys that I have worked with that do big teak projects actually scrub the red solution on in the same way that you did with the normal detergent..then leave it for the 5 mins afterwards. They also lightly do the same with the green. It does make it a ton more effective, give it a try.
Hi James, I’ll give it a go when it dulls down. I didn’t want to flick the solution around after seeing what it did to the concrete if it went on fabrics. The teak didn't hold up well to a drop of diesel when I was servicing the engine hopefully I can do a localised touch up. Thanks for the advice 👌🏼
Hi Chris / Kate. One week today the boat will be launched and back in the water. I have a really good shake down trip planned to Chatham. I wont give too much away 😉. I will arrange something if there's enough interest once the weather warms up. How's your boat coming along. I have had to do so many jobs to get it up to standard but you can eat your dinner off the engine now its so clean 🤣
You make it look easy!! Thanks i will give this a go
Hi Gerald, it was a very easy job and the results are well worth the effort 👌🏼 thanks for watching!
Another great video. Well done Rob. That teak looks amazingxx👏👏

I had a bet with myself. I bet he's a £20 type of guy. 😂
😂😂 as much as I wanted to be the £20 guy, I think the results speaks for it self. Thanks for watching 👌🏼
Great video Rob! When is the boat going back in the water? You should arrange a meet up for us fellow east coasters!
