The file is raw with less high end editing..but this is the most real and authentic docu Ive seen in i-witness so far. Ive been watching i-witness since it was 1st aired, monday ang time slot noon. It has been 3 years since this documentary was shown on TV. Ngayon 2023 na pinapanood ko pa rin. Having been infected with COVID-19 twice in 2021 I can very well relate to Howie's story. Both the isolation and stigma of being a covid patient was the hardest to deal with. It is true that you have to face the disease by yourself. Walang kaibigan, walang kamaganak much less total strangers, na dadamay sa iyo. It was only my family and the medical staff who helped me to go through the difficulty of being infected. Salamat sa Diyos I survived. Maraming salamat Howie for sharing your story. Likewise, to nurse Gab for your dedication to your calling as a registered nurse. God bless everyone.

I remember the day na na classify ako sa PUI because of the symptoms and exposure sa positive px. Hesistant ako sumama sa ambulance na sumundo sa akin from home kasi nag report ako sa DOH. I wanted to delay it pero that time sobrang hindi na din maganda yun pakiramdam ko. That night nun secretly dinala nila ako sa Hospital naramdaman ko yun takot, yun pakiramdam na hindi ka man lang pwede ihatid o samahan bg mahal mo sa buhay papunta ng Hospital. Iiyak ka na lang habang mag isa sa likod ng ambulansya na umaalingaw. And after a week in isolation facility dun ko na realize na pag positive case ako and if the situation got worsened and lead me to death, ako lang at si Lord ang magkasama. Salamat na lang din at negative and result ko and sa bahay na lang tinuloy yun completion ng isolation days ko after getting the results na negative ako sa Covid19. Salute to the front-liners.
Ask ko lang pag covid positve ang patients sagot ba lshat ng philhealth ang hospital bill? Like howie?

I was assigned in the ICU for 3 days in row as a certified nurse assistant here in california and assisting 5 registered nurses fr rm 251 to rm 264 with 6 positive covid pt and tbi, pneumonia pt all with ventilators and IVs. can't believe the virus is so aggresive. All nurses and doctors do all they can to make our patients better. Hopefully this global crisis will end soon and I pray for those family who have lost their love ones. Always be strong. And help our government to fight this pandemic. Stay home Stay safe.

I cried while watching this docu 😭 I myself experienced this kind of scenario in the isolation room - when my patient is losing his hope, I was there encouraging him to stay strong (as I was crying behind my masks). It’s just me and my patient in that 4 corners of the room fighting for COVID-19. So pls STAY HOME and PRAY that this pandemic will end soon. 🙏

Howie: Nakakahiya naman.
But Philhealth said, hanggang April 14 lang po talaga yong sagot nila lahat. Ngayon po, may part na lang po na sagot ng Philhealth. Hindi na po nila i-cocover lahat dahil hanggang April 14 lang po yong ganoon. Nabigla po siguro sila dahil ganoon kagastos ang sakit na Covid kaya di na nila shoulder lahat. Kung nabalitaan nyo po yong patient na umabot ng 3M yata yong bill niya sa hospital, yon po pasok pa siya sa bill coverage ng Philhealth. Siguro po na-shock ang Philhealth sa ganoong bill ng isang tao. Kaya binago na po nila ang patakaran nila. Sa pagkakaalam ko lang po ha.

I just wish stories like this would allow us & our government to appreciate our healthworkers more. These people serve people above & beyond their calling, thus the least we can do is to provide compensation for their service & sacrifice. Salute to all healthworkers & frontliners 💕
So raw. Tagos sa puso. I worked sa hospital but left dahil di kaya ng dibdib ko yung emotions sa hospital. Pero will always cheerish yung experience ko dun even if mababa ang sahod. Salute to super dedicated frontliners!

sana sa 2021 mas maraming kumuha ng course about sa medicine line tulad ng nurse o kaya doctor .... at mapaayos na po ang mga tamang pa sweldo sa kanila lalo na nasa pang public hospitals dito sa bansa natin... WISH KO LANG PO concern people lang po ako...

Hopefully. Pero ang pangit kasi ng health care system ng bansa natin and waley paki both previous and current admin. This is the only time na narealized ng lahat ang problema sa health care.
Aside din po, ang mahal ng premed course and med courses. My younger brother is taking up medtech as premed niya while ako is on my post studies pero mas mahal pa ang tuition niya kaysa akin not including laboratories na personal niyang binibili. Pwera nalang if you manage to get on state universities mas lesser ang tuition fees but still yung gasto for lab you need to shoulder it. If med naman roughly 60k amount yung gastos dependi saang university. Kaya mostly sa mga nasa ganitong course has stable income.
And mostly din para sa mga young professional they go abroad para makabawi sa magulang nila sa financial aspect. Kasi if pilipinas kalang if your on health professions hindi ka aasinso if you have no other income.
