That's not true, catgirl/catboy characters are rather stale nowadays. Usually it's just overhorny furries who draw them, and they're certainly no manga-ka. Besides Schrö, I haven't run across a true catperson in anime/manga. People who put on cat ears, plenty of times, but never someone who actually was a hybrid.

On Wikipeida it says the Japanese edition comes out in Feburary of 2008. But for America there isn't a release date.
