it is sad,but this is the truth... everyone who tried to put up english-dub hellsing ovas,had to see that after a maximum of 5 days every vid they uploaded dissapeared with a message:"This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by FUNimation Entertainment" so this is the crappy situation kids,but keep on uploading english dub ovas! they cant delete everything :)))
You can still get episodes 1-3 off ebay for 20 bucks. But I suggest you buy the real thing. Its more rewarding when you buy the R1 release (especially the limited special editions). Episode 4 is coming out next month.
@midgeman18 No, not just perspective, I mean that it physically changes sizes. At least once, there was no 'camera' shift, Alucard just moved his arm, and his gun doubled in length. Still a kickass show.

@CrystalStarize well they don't have the letter L in their language so they can only say it as Arucard. Like if they try to say Dracula they will say Dracura.
Well you have missed lot if you havent watch OVA series... :D OVA (ultimate) is anime from Hellsing manga books ;).... About week ago has come Ova 5 episode... If you like Hellsing... you should watch OVA series :D It is AWSOME
I gotta agree w/ you on that one. In my own opinion(sp?) I actually like the Hellsing dub. O_o. The reason I don't like most of the American dubs is the english voices and the Japanese peeps don't mix. On the other it's hard for me to imagine an englishman w/ a Japanese voice. Yeah. ^_^
Its because she isnt a true Nosferatu yet, she doesnt drink blood untill the third OVA and still hasnt drunk the blood of Alucard so she is still his servant
Who cares if they speak Japanese even though they're Euros. I still think the sub version will always be the best. But the dub version IMO is the only successful dub I've seen done in an anime. I still watch them both.

@TheRainSnake There are, indeed, Catholics in Ireland, but those are the Southern Irish. Northern Ireland are Protestants, and there's been a lot of hostility between the South Irish and the 'Brit lapdogs'. Look up the history of the Irish Republican Army, and maybe you'll see why.
actually its neither "r" or "l" its something here in sweden called "flapp" and it can sound as both l and r but if you have studied japanese (i havent but i know people who has) it sounds different

I do not care what anybody says ja. Dracula ist just kick ass charcter all around. The Real Drakula was very cool (my Hero). The Bram Storker's Dracula ist cool. Vampire Hunter D (Vampire Hunter Dracula) Dracula itself has always been interesting charcater. And if Vlad the Impaler ist a Vampir, he can come bite me I am all for his impaling ways. :)

ok i had a hard time dealin with arucards voice (should be deeper and freaker) BUT WHEN I HEARD ADERSON'S I MEAN COME ON...they got the whitest voice for like one of the flippest dude in hellsing! still as always i feel the need to scream KABBIBLE every time a shot is fired.

Seras sounds a bit too tame for this version of the character...plus, aRucard? Who do they think theyre kidding anymore? Its spelled Alucard for a reason you know. (He's Dracula)
Ok it's like this....this is the real anime, telling the story that happend in the manga. The first anime was like that too in the beginning but then they ran out of material and started to make crap up like incognito and shit.

Nonono ALucard CAN'T be Dracula thats wrong!! Alucard is Alucard and it shall allways be like that.. My oppinion(Sorry if my spelling is bad!) I would rather see him as a unique and cool vampire who is just his own...
The only voice I can say I hate is Seras' voice... It's awful. Otherwise, this is one of the best english dubs I have ever seen for an anime. It is actually good. Still prefer the Japanese one though, but that is all Seras' fault xD

in case of anime the voice is a great deal of who the person is. How mad for example one is, has to be given a great vice however i dont like the english dubs. Thay are read great but still i prefer the japanese

I just noticed this, but Alucard's guns change sizes on a regular basis. Even in the same scene, the gun will spontaneously grow/shrink.

the english letter L is an R in japenese, so Arucard is the correct spelling for it in Japenese. Not a typo
this one was made definitely alot better in graphics and the storyline is longer but you cant beat the original.
It's weird but Hellsing is probably the only anime ive ever watched where i preffered the dub to sub.

i enjoy the dub version vs the sub if it's hellsing the accents match the character that's what i like i find it more fitting

I was able to find episodes 1-5 english dubbed a few months back, now they are gone bloody copyrights..
As much as I love Sebastian, Alucard would blow him out of the water. Hellsing kind of makes Black Butler look like a kid's show.

But if you read the Vampire D novels, you would know that Vampire hunter D is the Son of Dracula.

The anime stopped following the storyline of the manga relatively quickly. The OVAs are sticking to the story.
