I want to say--the thing that gives this series such an interesting twist on the "Animatronic Possession" horror genre is the sense of hopelessness that you go into the series with. The children FEEL like actual children, and not just someone writing dialogue that emulates what a child would say. Every time I come back to this series, the dread just pools in the bottom of my stomach in a way that I can't fully describe Battington and their team did an AMAZING job on the series thus far
2:58 this is probably one of the most terrifying scenes in the entire series, you cant even tell if Henry is staring at you, or just looking at the right side of the screen, the blackout makes this even more unsettling, which is partly the main part of H&H's atmosphere, dark and depressing, good work on this ;)
all these “lost tapes” should really be turned into a game, everything is somehow connected thru the toymaker, or something. this is really interesting.

Yo Battington, listen my guy. I don't know how you do it. But you do it. The attention to detail to make it look like a genuine VHS tape is impeccable, amazing. And the fact that it's horror as well just makes it a perfect 10, easily. Horror and VHS tapes to hand in hand like bread and butter. Honestly the best horror animations on TH-cam. Can't wait for more of these in the future. Please continue doing what you do. I have never been so scared, yet so wrapped up and curious by a scary animation in all my life. It appears people wanted to see more of my assumptions, so here ya go! :D My analysis Pt.1, play by play The footage begins with a shot of a puppet. The puppet is definitely of a male. It is slumped over, and appears to be leaning against a wall. The date this is being recorded in is December 25th, 1985. Unlike the last tape I did an analysis on, the date changes later on in this one. The time of this part of the recording is at 1:32 AM. The man and his daughter, from the last tape I analyzed, talk to each other. CHILD: I was trying to say, I pulled off his arm. MAN: You pulled off his arm? CHILD: Yeah, I pulled off his arm like on the TV. MAN: Well, did you break it? CHILD: I don't know. MAN: Well, I don't know what you did wrong. CHILD: I don't know, but he won't stop crying. MAN: ... CHILD: Daddy, he won't stop crying. MAN: ... CHILD: Daddy? The video changes. It changes to a security camera recording of what looks like a shop, where you can buy puppets that surprisingly look a lot like Dawko. The date changes to August 11th, 1986, and the time changes to 5:41 AM. Despite a minute passing as the camera moves left and right as whoever's controlling it turns on its flashlight quite a few times, the time dosen't go up a minute. Either the company forgot that their camera's time is broken, or this was a mistake by the creator. The time changes to 6:15 AM. The only difference in the scenery is that there is a figure with yellow, glowing eyes in the window. After a few seconds, the figure moves to the door. The camera glitches out, and the figure disappears. After a few seconds, a new figure appears. You can only see the top of it's head. As a few seconds go by, the figure moves upward, so we can see all of it's head. The camera corrupts, and the figure is revealed to be a puppet. The camera cuts to the puppet from the beginning, looking at the camera in a dark void. It's face is lit up. Classical music plays for a few seconds, then stops. A selection of text pops up, sentence by sentence. "I can't feel my arms. I can't feel my legs.Yet I only feel pain." A few seconds go by, and more text pops up. "There is something inside me. Something that beats," it reads. I first thought this sounded like the text is talking about a heart. But that is disproven, by the next bit of text that comes up as the puppet turns it's head towards the camera. "Like it wants to get out." After a few seconds, the tape corrupts yet again. It shows the puppet, only it's eyes are smaller, and it's smile seems wider. Text at the bottom reads "I want to get out," as loud, distorted noises play. The camera zooms in on it's face. Not long after, the tape ends. Pt.2, Henry and his characteristics The tape is titled "Henry.mp4," so we can assume that name has to do with the video. Since practically no-one else is shown in the video, I believe Henry is the name of the puppet in the tape. In the part that's recorded in 1985, Henry just appears slumped over. Just an ordinary puppet without it's puppeteer. The girl says Henry can't stop crying, which might hint at the fact that he can feel the pain of her pulling his arm off. In 1986, he moves on his own, even more hinting that he's possessed. Henry is the only thing shown when the text appears, so it's safe to assume that he's the one saying it. Pt.3, digging deeper The man and his daughter are here again, and Henry is, for some reason, in their house. This makes me think whoever this man is is the puppet-builder, showing off one of his projects to his daughter. Henry seems to be a little delusional. It's like he's acting two parts at once. He says "Something that beats, like it wants to get out." Almost immediately after, he says "I want to get out," parallel to what he said prior. Unlike Banzo, the one I did my last assumptions on, Henry seems to be possessed by a human. It's hard to tell if he's a dead worker, or a dead child. My theory is that Henry is possessed by his own puppeteer. There's no way for a person to fit inside that thing, so they were probably either A, ripped apart and the pieces were put inside him, or B, they were murdered near him. The puppeteer acts as Henry so much, that they make the illusion they _are_ Henry in the first group of text. At the last line, however, they get fed up, break character, and try to escape the puppet again. The camera can't take this, so it glitches out and shuts off. Welp, that's my theory. Dude, I know it's been a year since this was made but this is the first vid in a long time that made me jump. I've been immune to sorta scary jumpy stuff for a long time so this was pretty surprising. I think I'll binge the videos that have come up so far, this is great :)

Everytime nothing happens for several seconds, I think there's a jumpscare but when something else happens it releases the tension and stress built up for the jumpscare
I have to say, I have not been as freaked out by videos in a long time. You my good sir/madam have managed to scare me. Especially when the camera is in the toy shop, I expected one of the dolls to start moving, but instead, there was something outside. I love when I expected something to happen, but instead, get scared by something else. Out of all the videos I’ve watched, this one is my personal favorite. Great job!!!!

you can really see the inspiration in this video and the ice cream man cleaning tape, but i feel like it also has such a personal vibe to it especially as it gets later into the other vhs videos. i discovered the "i want a toy" tape first and it was so interesting and cool that i had to find all the others please keep doing these, theyre amazing :)

I have never before been struck by the terror that radiated through my body at the end. I almost can't describe it. It was a brain numbing tingle that slowly spread through my body. Only one thing coursed through my ever buzzing brain. "GET THE FUCKING HELL OUT. *N O W.* DANGER DANGER DANGER." I was also parilized by fear, and it took me a minute to click off, cool down, and comment this. I am now too scared to take the covers off my head, so I might suffocate, but that's ok. Dude, I know it's been a year since this was made but this is the first vid in a long time that made me jump. I've been immune to sorta scary jumpy stuff for a long time so this was pretty surprising. I think I'll binge the videos that have come up so far, this is great :)

Everytime nothing happens for several seconds, I think there's a jumpscare but when something else happens it releases the tension and stress built up for the jumpscare
I have to say, I have not been as freaked out by videos in a long time. You my good sir/madam have managed to scare me. Especially when the camera is in the toy shop, I expected one of the dolls to start moving, but instead, there was something outside. I love when I expected something to happen, but instead, get scared by something else. Out of all the videos I’ve watched, this one is my personal favorite. Great job!!!!

dawg this is bone chilling, spine tingling. i watch the jumps a 2nd time and still got shook, knowing what was coming. I've been on an analog horror pilgrimage, running out of series to watch. But man oh man, this is good so far, off the 1st video.
you can really see the inspiration in this video and the ice cream man cleaning tape, but i feel like it also has such a personal vibe to it
especially as it gets later into the other vhs videos. i discovered the "i want a toy" tape first and it was so interesting and cool that i had to find all the others

I've heard someone describe Henry as "Woody on Crack."
I have never before been struck by the terror that radiated through my body at the end. I almost can't describe it. It was a brain numbing tingle that slowly spread through my body. Only one thing coursed through my ever buzzing brain. "GET THE FUCKING HELL OUT. *N O W.* DANGER DANGER DANGER." I was also parilized by fear, and it took me a minute to click off, cool down, and comment this. I am now too scared to take the covers off my head, so I might suffocate, but that's ok. Thank you, Battington, for this experience. I look forward to your future videos.

this is genius, freaked me out, at 3:29 the song is called "shangai shuffle Fletcher henderson and his orchestra with louis Armstrong" but battington made it different, which is honestly just genius, I applaud you battington, I applaud you. (also that song now triggers my fight or flight badly )
The best kind of horror is atmospheric horror and this achieved that kind of atmosphere for me

Came here from The Walten Files, since I often hear about this in the comments and in theory playlists. After watching the 3rd Walten Files video, I straight up couldn't move for 15 minutes out of sheer terror.
