@@gen.kivie16 well, as much as I ship it, you can tell the relationship between Rue and Jules was toxic. Jules only used Rue when she was heartbroken. Rue depended on jules so much that it was unhealthy
As much as I ship them I think that they need space from each other for a while to figure themselves out because when Jules told rue that she wasn’t going to be best friends with someone who was going to kill them selves I was happy but then I realized that Jules never grew out of her bad habits. I mean I don’t know if they we fully dating or not but when Jules kissed and hooked up with Anna I was really mad at her because when she was hallucinating I think rue said this isn’t going to last and I think that was her guilt telling her that their friendship/relationship was coming to an end and rue being to dependent on her only mad it worse
Reading the comments, I realize that Zendaya and her acting work in euphoria is simply magnificent. It makes you feel what you should feel for a character; empathy, love and the need to protect her. You really conect with Rue, and that’s the job of a good actor.

She's my favourite character right now, even though I don't personally know anything about drug addiction. But I do have a family member that is an addict, so in a sense it can give me an insight into how they think and are.
I actually really like Rue and Jules, but they're not in the right place emotionally in their lives that it would be a good thing for them to be together. Maybe later on when they've grown in themselves and healed.

It hurts me so much because I have bipolar disorder and to think I could have definitely gone down this path like Rue if I didnt make the decision to get help at 16 yrs old. I'm 22 now and I wasnt actually diagnosed with bipolar until I was 19. The scenes where her and her mom would fight is too accurate. Its painful to look back on.

I get it. God almost every line she says in this show I get and hits me close to home. I get the nervous ticks the anxious pacing the made one second crying the next. I have NEVER touched drugs but god knows I have been tempted. I think watching Rue and Zendaya legit made me seek help and talk to the ones around me that I love. When she says she is a burden I die inside. I LEGIT am arguing with a girl who wants to be my friend so badly but i can't even make myself hang out with her because I tell myself deep down I will just make their life hell. Its fucked up.
