Wow. In awe of the beauty there. Love your dog as well! Great sketches. The light on those mountains was breathtaking! Thanks for taking us along. this video was so well shot and edited. Keep up the great work Emma!
This is awesome. I've been considering merging my painting with my backpacking here on Vancouver Island which probably means swithig from acrylics to water colour. I look forward to watching more of your videos.
Beautiful scenery! You might be interested in a book titled "Abby Williams Hill And The Lure of The West" by Ronald Fields. She was a landscape artist who worked around the beginning of the 20th century, primarily painting for railroads. Most of her her paintings were done plein air. The University of Puget Sound has the bulk of her works and from time to time they put them on display.
I am enjoying your videos, in part because I just bought the same U-go pochade box you are using! Question: what are the picture frame-style wet panel holders you are using? Are they home made?
They are homemade! My husband built them out of maple, but I believe you can get similar ones from ProlificPainter. They make the whole lightweight/backpacking thing much more feasible!
Beautiful scenery...so many scenes...yet your spending time with a medium such as watercolor that's for masters. Oils, and 9/12 canvas. Paint a few scenes especially after all the time and effort getting to that location. Doing a few small sketches maybe if need be....but really the watercolor and gouache are mediums for the experienced masters of the medium. All the time that you put into the watercolor, could of done a beautiful scene in oils. Even a few... and stop making your dog carry your stuff!!
Thanks for watching! I think it’s important to not limit certain mediums “to the masters” as everyone had to start somewhere! These gouache studies are just for bringing back to the studio and perhaps making into larger oil paintings 😊 And our pup loves her job of carrying her food, she loves having her backpack on and gets very excited when we bring it out ☺️
Beautful work Emma ♡♡✌
여행하며 그림 그리기. 제 꿈에요. 부럽네요. travel and painting...its my dream. i envy you.

Is that the Quarter dome SL2? If so how do you like it? I have the 1 and been thinking of upgrading
I love your video but thought dogs were not allowed in Olympic National Park. So is this actually elsewhere?
Where you are right now
Marmot Pass in Washington State :)
I love your video and would like to share it, but thought dogs were not allowed in Olympic National Park. So is this actually elsewhere?
This is in the Olympic National Forest where dogs are allowed, but you’re right, if we were in the park she wouldn’t be allowed on the trail!
