  • So... let's agree on the terms and conditions here :)
    There are only running shoes I actually own. So please know that there may be shoes you were expecting to see here that are not there... that is because I don't own those shoes or you will have to wait for Part 2 because I could only choose 1 shoe this time.
    Please let me know your own A-Z of running shoes from each brand as well.

    what I like about the ON cloudmonster, is that its a comfortable supportive shoe running, walking and standing. Which isn't the case for all running shoes. especially if you have a wider toebox. great shoe!

    Adidas Prime X Strung 2 has been my go to for all my half marathon - marathon distances weighing at 90-92kg. I've fallen over multiple times over the races but the times don't lie, they give the propulsion and frankly save my legs!
    People who say Adios Pro 3 are good but for the longer stuff, PX2 wins. Got 3 pairs 🤣

    You reviewed that Asics Nimbus 25 a year ago and that slow motion zoom of the heel & tread is visual evidence of a new shoe to my eyes. That Rocket X2, same thing and if that shoes was 'perfection' for you, why isn't that reflected in its use? C'mon man, it's been a year, that shoe should not look fresh. This is where and how you get ahead of your skis. You're a better watch when you bring us into your struggle of becoming a daily runner, the challenges you feel, your fish out of water story, etc. I want to root for you but when I see a bunch of great road shoes with almost no wear - I wonder if you're actually even trying - and I'm here for the journey.

    • @AubreyRunning
      @AubreyRunning  27 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      It’s a fair enough question… for the nimbus 25 I actually have 3 pairs of that shoe. I have 2 pairs of the gel nimbus 26. Also… admittedly I do have a lot of shoes I haven’t really exhausted so your observation is fair but I won’t necessarily apologise for not doing the kind of mileage that other runners do.
      I do my best to invite my audience to my strava and the upcoming reviews will show you that. Look out for the Ghost 16 review to see what I mean.

    • @JDeezle21

      I can see the creases and wear in the shoes but maybe my eyes are different. I also have a big shoe rotation. Keep going @AubreyRunning 💪

      @@AubreyRunning FOD runner today put out a review of the Endorphin Elite at 100 miles. Notice the extensive discoloration along the entirety of the white sidewalls, the creases & abrasions at the forefront of the toe box? Shoes evolve and you have to experience that evolution to call it 'perfect', something you've not with the Rocket X2. 6:14-6:19 is blatant commercial videography serving Hoka. 2:50 - 2:57 again, purposeful branding & model staging for Asics. It disappoints me to see you turn your channel in to raw blatant commercialism first. You are the star, not the shoes....you seem to be losing sight of that. I would encourage you to make your personal journey fish out of water story the focal point, not the brand and product placement content. These shoe companies can't replace you Aubrey.

    • @dinterowski
      @dinterowski 27 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Many TH-camrs make similar videos, but they don't show their models in their hands because they sold them on ebay a long time ago ;) it's just a video about his favorite shoes from a given brand. With the mileage that Aubrey (and any amateur hobbyist) runs, there is no chance of any visible significant wear in all of the shoes he reviews, even if he likes them

    • @therapygrind
      @therapygrind 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@dinterowski Respectfully I disagree. He's taking us on a walk down memory lane but the visual is not congruent his words (sans the trail shoe he said he wears on walks with his kids), whether you view this through the lens of truth or marketing - it fails on both measures and plays the audience small. In the context of truth or marketing 'story telling' that's called a continuity problem.
      When Aubrey says the Hoka Rocket X2 'changed everything & is perfect", he's talking about a personal experience of his prior to May 14, 2023 (the date he published a review of that shoe), over 1 year ago - yet that shoe he's holding looks brand new.
      Aubrey's running style + his mass/BMI + roads = a shoe that won't look 'out of the box' fresh/spotless after 25 miles / 40K (at least to my admittedly deeply experienced eye). I share his BMI, am a road runner and have been running a long time in hundreds of shoes. If Aubrey ran 5K a month in that shoe he declares has been personally transformative, it would not look like what he's holding.
      I'm all for Aubrey's success, but not at the expense of my basic intelligence.
