When Clive of India's son married into the family he brought his fathers collection with him. According to William Dalrymple, much of the wealth amassed by Clive was loot that was illicitly collected after the Battle of Plassey. Much of it is today displayed at the Clive Museum at Powis. When Clive returned to UK with £234,000 (£23 million today), he was the richest self-made man in Europe.[3]
That place looks amazing and pristine, some amazing collections in there too, ornaments and statues etc, the gardens look beautiful too, looks a great place to visit, another great video 👍👍 ATB
Well done Mrs' H. That has to be one of the best videos I have seen on this channel. Perhaps you should take over control of the camera from now on. Powis Castle looked a very sumptuous place to live back in the day though I did feel very sorry for the poor old chap at 06:35. He was in need of a Doctor:) No arms and not much body either , But the Dr could save him:)
