1. There is no consensus on this issue at all. There are many scholars who say criticizing and/or rebellion is allowed under certain circumstances. Do not give me consensus of Saudi scholars. Or if you want to look at Saudi scholars who spoke against the kufar being introduced there now, they are imprisoned.
2. Conflating 'rulers' of today with the Khalifas is the main issue you have. Every Hadith this cult quotes is for Khalifas. There are other Hadith in where the Prophet PBUH specifically mentioned Amir or Khalifa.
3. The Hadith about the Ethiopian slave being a ruler, obey him as long as he leads you in accordance with the book of Allah. The book of Allah means the Sharia.
4. Sahabah criticized and rebelled when the Amir did not rule in accordance with Quran and Sunnah.
5. The consensus of all great scholars (Ibn Taymmiya and the four Imams of the schools of thought) is that the Khilafa system is an OBLIGATION on the muslims, as it follows the command of Allah SWT to unite and not be divided. Who is against the Khilafa system nowadays - it is these rulers and their scholars. Why? Because it will destroy their wealth and power. Go to any gulf state and talk about Khilafa and you will see what will happen to you.
Now my question to you:
If Abu Bakr RA, Umar RA, Uthman RA or Ali RA were alive today, what do you think they would do? Would they sit quietly and advise MBS LOOOOL? Or would they remove these enemies of Islam from their seats and gather the muslims to help the oppression in Palestine?
