@@esqueue I poked a hole through the foam insulation to slide the sensor through. The sensor sits in the centre under the base in the compartment above the compressor.
@@glennosgarage wow, thanks for answering my question. In my case, I believe it is my controller that is bad and the sensor is good. They both seem to use the same sensor so I might just use the existing sensor with the new temperature controller. It's the cheap $10 USD sensor from Amazon which I'll 3D print a case for. Oh sorry. Sensor connector goes to the digital thermostat that I have added to the side.
