Thank you for making this video. I used to live in Amersham and I would take the Met alot with my mum. We preferred it over Chiltern because less people take the Met. Anyways I have moved to Denmark now and do miss the Met line so I like watching this video alot.
Next time sit on the left side because between Finchley Road and Harrow on the hill the chiltern mainline runs alongside it. Great video tho, it’s my local line :)
I used to live in Kingsbury and would take the Metropolitan Line to Wembley Park and dash across the platform to the Jubilee Line so I always sat on the right to count which Jubilee train I'd catch at Wembley Park ahead of the one which was back at Finchley Road and I'd usually end up on the second train or sometimes the third.
Not really. This announcement is made when a train is leaving a terminal station. Whenever I got on a train in Edgware (a terminus) the announcement was "This train is about to depart, please mind the doors.". Only when leaving a terminal is when you'd ever hear it.
Methinks this isn't a good line to nod off as before you know it you could find yourself in Northwood or even Amersham when your station is Finchley Road
I remember on the Northern Line years ago, the passengers pushed a button to open the doors, but then they were set to open all doors automatically which I found very annoying on cold winter nights having all doors opening at every station (Brent Cross, Hendon Central, Colindale, Burnt Oak) and nobody got on or off the carriage I was in so pointlessly making the inside of the train freezing. Yeah have the doors open automatically during busy periods and at other times let the passengers open the doors manually by pushing the button on the doors. I see this new train has buttons on the doors and still they're set to open automatically at every stop.
I sometimes muse just how much quicker the metro'd cover the trip we'd (often) favoured decades ago from that Baker-St transfer there...(aggravating!) tube hold-ups and slow-downs'd been customary far too long thereabouts: 🍸 th-cam.com/video/0BT-JYrHWL8/w-d-xo.html 💋

I put this on to help me sleep the trains just help me sleep that’s why I love London underground
I like how the jubilee was racing metropolitan near West Hampstead but then the jubilee line had to stop
One night I was on a Metropolitan and a Jubilee was running at the same speed beside it. Four lads on the other train gave me "blue moon".
