That’s a great video Henry, right on my doorstep. I live in Portsmouth and i was a Signalman in the old box at Havant when it was open, I’m currently a Signalman in the newer box; the blue building pretty well opposite the old one.
@@HenrysAdventures I worked it from 1991 to 1996 then again just before it closed around 2006/07 whilst I was a signalman at Portsmouth Panel. I did send you some interior pictures on Instagram but I’m not sure if you received them.
Marvellous video I did I visit to the hayling island railway after first lockdown ended but unfortunately it was closed but do have plans for a return in the future 🙃👍
Interesting, didn't a few months know there was a theme park down there, then didn't know there was a railway and now learnt that there used to run a line with Terriers down to Hayling Island. Running Terrier trains, really interesting. Be good if a heritage railway group got hold of it and created it into a new heritage railway. Running events all year a.k.a galas, Christmas, Easter and more. Probs more likely be a tramway if anything happens, but would be nice if Terriers ran down there again. Could be the Great Terrier Hayling Railway? Nice vlog, with interesting facts. Really enjoyed and look forward to seeing more videos like this again soon. 😀👍
Trains currently are not stopping there due to the pandemic. All journeys start at Eastoke, although you can buy a single in the Westbound direction to Beechlands.
