I completely forgot about the existence of the UFL. I live in the Houston area. Two weeks from today is the last game of the season. Tickets for the 50 yd line are $50. I believe I'll be going to the game a week from Sunday!
St. Louis keeps getting tagged as the archetypal spring football market for having lost their NFL team, and that assumption appears to be well-founded. But now imagine if the UFL expanded into a market that already has NFL presence *but* the fanbase in that city is pissed off at the NFL (i.e. basically every city that KC beat on the way to the superbowl) and a good portion would probably defect.
@@joustwave6541 I'd be in favor of teams defecting to the UFL. I've been in favor of a demerger and bringing back the AFL. lol I can't stand the NFL and my team's is held captive by that league.
55 years. They were in LA for the AFL's inaugural season in 1960, moved to San Diego immediately because they hated the LA market so much, and then moved back in 2016 because Spanos needs more money
@dominicpancella3012 When the XFL arrived in St. Louis they sold out the TWA Dome where kaw is law plus still hate Stan kroenke once they have a team in San Diego they sell out their own stadium

Why would they defect just because KC beat them? I don't see that happening but I'd love it if it did.
It's not the KC beating that causes resentment against the league itself, it's the bogus roughing and holding calls along the way.
