I mean the barber I went to was joined with a salon. Guys was watching the games, talking and occasionally smacking down dominoes, the salon was girl talk and nothing more to it. It was actually built similar to that shop.
This movie is the best barbershop film alongside the original movie

I really liked this one. Barbershop has a legit trilogy. No skips
Although the first one is the original classic, this version provided a lot of important commentary not just on the harsh reality of young black men living in Chicago but also on the issue of sparatic gun violence all over our country. Not just in the urban inner cities but also in our suburbs and rural areas.
That changes over the years. First it was Oakland, then it was new Orleans, now it's Chicago. Eventually, it will be something else.
Some people criticize it because it became more on the personal side then just s full comedy like the last two Barbershop movies

I love your mind and how you were raised. If you were older. I would definetly marry you. I like latina women because they believe in tradition. Older black women do but younger black women dont believe in Tradion. God made women with femenity. Women are taught to cook for the family and especially their children. Families should eat food thats prepared in the home without all the additives that are in fast food. You are beautiful and stay true to your spirit. Never change. I think the main reason people don't listen to the radio is because of the endless amount of commercials, DJs feel like they need to interrupt the music or cut the song short for time etc. and then they'll play a couple of songs again and again and again with no real variety. They also seem to only play TOP 20 playlist of songs...BORING. So we'll listen to music WE want to hear WHEN we want to hear it!!

you actually don't have to cut your locks you, i took mines out using a rat-tail comb and a cup that was shampoo and water mixture, it took a while for me cuz my locks were long
You kinda lost me with the comment about the fundamentals females should have because cooking and cleaning should be a fundamental for all beings as a survival skill, but this is a great movie. I think the only reason it got low ratings is because of the overacting and overemphasis that we’ve been seeing in a lot of movies (especially new Tyler Perry films) but still a great film 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

The only reason I am familiar with any of the gang names in this movie is bc of 2 books I read growing up called My Bloody Life the making of a Latin King and its sequel once a king always a king weiren by a real former Latin king with the penname Reymundo Sanchez. My eyes got so wide when you said you were from Humbolt Park area..were you exposed to any gang members in that area when you lived there? I'm very curious. When Rey mentioned the vice lords they were predominantly black. Those books are very touching and I've reread them at least 2-3 tunes each. Would love a movie to come out for it.
My cousins are gang members but I’ve definitely been exposed to other gang members/shootouts/bodies etc.

Barbershop 3 got lower reviews more from audiences. However, the critics gave it higher scores. I think because Barbershop 3 touched on serious issues that struck a nerve with people. It wasn't just 100 percent comedy. I myself enjoyed it. I consider Barbershop 3 to be the best one in my opinion.

Let them women think what they want, these days women like to use "pick me" as an insult when in reality there is nothing wrong with a woman wanting to be traditional and getting picked by a man she really likes. That’s not what a pick me is. A pick me is someone who forgoes their morals in order to appease ANYONE they are interested in. That’s not a good thing. It’s an act of desperation. People tend to just use the term incorrectly to describe anyone that doesn’t agree with their agendas..
A lot of men ask for traditional women while not obtaining the qualifications in being a traditional man. What she said wasn’t wrong but that’s a GENERAL fundamental that both men AND women should know how to do as a form of survival.

I don't mind "wokeness" but you can tell they tried a little too hard to be current and the messages were just heavy handed unlike the previous two movies where the conflict was slowly integrated into the story before it came to a head towards the climax, you know, like how you tell a story. In this one they just threw the conflict at you and never gave the audience room to actually react before they jumped to another heavy topic and on top of that the dialogue of the new characters is just cringy you can tell a white guy wrote some of this because it sound like what white people think we sound like in the barbershop instead of what we actually sound like; the first two perfectly captured the barbershop atmosphere and neighborhood community. I like the movie I just hate how it was executed because it's a great plot and the new characters are cool they're just too on the nose for me, like you can look at a character and automatically know their entire character for example: The natural sista the second she's on screen before she even talks you know she's going to be spiritual and a vegan not that that's an issue (I'm a vegetarian) they just could've made it less obvious with the aesthetic and after school special dialogue. Overall felt like they were more focused on the message than making a movie which would've been fine if it wasn't a Barbershop sequel it should've just been a movie about Chicago that features a barbershop instead.

I watched the Barbershop cause Ice Cube is da bomb. Problem in the movie is Nicki Minaj. All the problems this film is showing on how dangerous the streets is, even with Minaj's character wearing revealed clothing like that, also could've been a problem to avoid. There are pigs out there with no remorse of their actions. Gang violence, rape, assault, guns and murder. Very serious situations.
