Love the layout but that tv needs to positioned somewhere else. That would be a massive pain having it block the doorway. Perhaps on that blank spot on the control panel.

That's a real beauty. What capacity is there to add electronics like a HAM radio? Perhaps with an external coax connector fitted through the trailer wall so you can operate inside in inclement weather?

This is great. I'd change up a few things just because I would set it up for 1 person maybe 2 but long term for 1.
Hey James for 1 or 2 people you could have an amazing set up! Be careful though, everyone you meet on your travels will want to hang out in your kitchen area though :--)
I love the look of the uev 490 . I'd like to see 300ah of lifepo4 batteries . 300 w of roof mounted solar . The greasiness rods in the A suspention arms . And a 2000w pure sine wave inverter .

You mention the steps: do the "inside-out" doors actually close with the steps out? Or do the steps need to be folded inward, blocking half the "inside-ou" door compartments? Why did you not close the doors on camera?
Hi There the steps are fixed to the trailer so when you fold them up to close the door they are in front of the door (inside the trailer). Happy to make sure we video this next time so its easier to see how it works. Thanks for the feedback...
Does the 490 still come with solor panels on the top of the camper in the 2021 edition..?
Hey Jason the 490 does not come with the solar panels on the roof but does come with 2 solar blankets and 4 solar inputs so you can catch the sun as it moves...
oh thank god I can put on a digital video disc, most campers these days are stuck in the past!

Their is a dealer in the USA. I don't think they have this version yet...Is the Redarc custom from distributor? Or is it standard from S Africa?
For the money these are way better than the Patriot off road campers. Far more features.

Seats are memory foam hey, does that mean when you go to bed they have 2 big fat arse indentations locked in the memory, thats not going to be comfortable is it.
Hey Lucy no that wouldn't be good at all! Its a funny name for it but memory foam bounces backs nicely and re-shapes next time you get in it. No big Lumps :)
Doesn't have an insulated body. Very hot answer very cold during these weather conditions and condensation buildup. A tin can on wheels
Thanks for the comment and if you check out our video on the Chassis you will see the insulation. Keeps cool in summer and warm in winter :--)

Hey Tony, A/C is no problems it is available as an option now where the outdoor sink is. There is no toilet in the 490 though people take a cassette toilet with them and use the rear shower tent for privacy when needed :)

Haha I know and it does sound old man but the kids still have DVD's of the old Disney movies. Great point is there storage for days so no need to worry about storing them :)
