Did anyone figure out when does he decide to run Aery versus Conqueror? I saw him running Aery vs both melee and ranged matchups, but I also saw him running conqueror into matchups where he isnt likely to get extended trades
I'm a Plat shitter but I think I have my runes down, so I'll give my input. Aery - Scorch - Last Stand is for early game aggression and can be used for matchups like Fizz where early-game damage and more powerful trades may be needed. It can also be great into mages that you will be able to trade with. However, I would not recommend it for matchups like Orianna, where you are mostly just looking to survive, not get solo kills. I go Phase Rush - Second Wind - Revitalize for these situations. Conqueror with Sorcery secondary is rare and is effective for melee heavy comps. I would add that it's extra strong when they don't have a lot of burst and you will be able to pretty much guarantee long, extended fights. The AP provided by Conq in these situations is invaluable, especially with the multipliers of Deathcap and Vlad's passive. I'm sure the 8% Conq healing counts for something, too.

It may not be just the matchup but also the enemy composition..
