As a person who actually has impaired hearing I really did appreciate this. I find myself always watching ASMR and being upset that I can't hear anything but the visuals always give me some sort of satisfaction. Thank you so much 😊
@@Griffin1231 how about you make a useful comment instead? You're not really 'fixing' anything by only saying that. Plus, it's just unwanted spam at this point
all jokes aside, I'm not deaf but I loved this so much and I appreciate the fact that you didn't mute the sound like other ASMRtists did, which has made it even more relaxing for those who can hear. thank you! ❤
I think some ppl don't understand how visual stimulation can be relaxing even without the asmr audio. I watched it on mute and it's pretty relaxing as well.
Hey thanks man! My brother is deaf and im really glad that youre showing the community some love, it can be a lonely one when you cant talk to most of the population. 👍
I clicked this video thinking it was going to be a joke but I'm very pleased to see it's actually a serious video for deaf people!! This is amazing and the visuals are wonderful thank you so much
Jokes aside, visual asmr is a real thing! Not as common as audio based asmr but many people do find enjoyment in visual triggers and this could be a nice video to introduce deaf people to something relaxing to watch
I actually do respect and appreciate this, my friend. I've never been able to experience ASMR like others. They've told me kind of what it is and how it may feel to certain people, I've just never gotten to experience it. Until now. Hate comments, smart asses, idiots, naysayers and facetious commenters aside, I truly did, and still do visually "listen" to this every chance I get. I still don't know if it works the same way for us hard of hearing folks, however, I do know that it is an interestingly calming video. So, I thank you. Please keep these coming.
He’s sitting in a different part of the world from me and yet I have never felt more comfortable with the fact I don’t need to say anything at all. He just does his thing and I watch. My mind has no thoughts during this moment with this man who I’ve never even met, I just know my mind is finally quiet. Thank you.
I have ASD, but not deaf, yet I found the visuals and quiet sound to very relaxing, especially since I was just in a very hyper mood. I love this, and will totally rewatch in cases of high stress.
I am into scratching asmr generally, like mic cover scratching and stuff, but this is different, in a great way. So what I did is I muted this video, and I watched the entirety of it while I played OSRS on the side (basically afk'ing stuff checking the game every few minutes to click once). The biggest factor that makes this video 10/10 is your ability to stare at the camera, into their eyes the entire time. That's very important as eye communication is something not fully understood, socially, emotionally, etc. A great example of how important eye communication is, are cats. Changes in their pupil etc occur, and also simple blinking is also a form of communication for cats. Always remember this: Cats that are comfortable around you, will blink while looking at you. It is a way of saying they are happy, you make them happy, etc. The second thing is you somehow made this ASMR video seem less like a "video on a desk/stage", and instead made it feel like your actually sitting with someone, your putting effort into putting attention into them. This video is certainly a 10/10 from someone who enjoys scratching asmr, which is totally different than this. You also avoided looping. This is important for the way you performed your ASMR. When someone is scratching a mic, loops are great for the right swirly sounds etc, but trying to be personal, and convey attention being given to the viewer is something you shouldn't loop. It would be very unnatural for someone who is purely aiming for visual stimulation to see looped personal behaviour, it would become robotic, you avoided that entirely by having a straight run through. TL;DR: 10/10, you found a way of conveying personal attention to the viewer. You avoided looping to keep you in the moment, people looking for visual cues would likely consider it robotic if you looped. Somehow I actually feel like your trying to get my attention specifically. It is very different, and its done well.
the measuring was an excellent way to start. so many tingles i get from the personal attention and visual stim, also idk if anyones tried this, but limiting your framerate to something that causes "trails" in movements might help the visual triggers really come across cause i was lagging for a moment and that made the hands artifact the last frame causing those trails, actually so tingly
The bits with measure tape made my brain get ticklish from the inside. Never thought that might happen from visual triggers. The whole video was absolutely fantastic!
Although I am not deaf, I was so curious to watch this video since I thought ASMR to be more audibly stimulating and was so interested in how you could create that same stimulation and tingly-ness for our deaf friends. So I clicked on the video and turned my sound all the way off just to see, and OH BOY let me just say this was probably the most tingly asmr video I’ve ever seen! I don’t even know how i shivered the way I did just watching the measuring tape but that was amazing! 😂 You’re too good at what you do.

I'm not deaf, but what drove me to ASMR in the first place, when i spent years absolutely hating it, was the visual aspect of it. Only listening was too much for me, there were sounds that i couldn't recognize so i automatically associated them to things I didn't like. But watching hair massages ASMR videos made me relate to the sounds because of the visual aspect of the massages. Little by little, I could listen to these videos I was used to without watching them.
