What a soothing voice you have! Thank you for sharing with us. I will be folding my shirts like this tonight!
Perfect video, narrated by the most beautiful voice I have heard in a long while. Thanks
I liked the way the remnant from the bottom of the shirt was tucked in. It'll keep the folded shirt firmly in place, especially while travelling. Good to see it!
SO RELAXING THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO NOW I WON'T GET IN TROUBLE FOR NOT FOLDING MY CLOTHES RIGHT THANK THANK YOU DON'T LISTEN TO THE HATERS KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK ONCE AGAIN THANK THANK YOU!!!!!
Don't change a thing! Great tutorial Raoul! It was well worth my time. The length of this tutorial fit the content. Your tone and tempo is relaxing and reassuring ( paramount to getting your message across). Everything you demonstrated, I have encountered in my wardrobe. Therefore, your guidance and expertise is important and appreciated. The tip about folding the end of the shirt into itself- brilliant ( I'll be using that in a few more weeks). Your appearance is sharp and your closet is spot-on; keep up the good work. BTW- close to one million views is pretty impressive. -RM
Thank you!
WOW! Fantastic. I had to watch several times.
Very nice video. I used my laptop as a board and now like...just wow...my wardrobe is nice and neat. My life will never be the same again.
Awesome!
I like the meditative quality of the shirt-folding. More, please!
Always had an issue with the end of the shirt coming unfolded. Tucking the end of the shirt inside was a great solution. Thanks a lot, man.
This is genius! Great video Raoul!
Upload the unedited shirt folding section of this video to celebrate its 10 year anniversary :)
😊 That's not happening and you probably know why... I didn't feel like wearing pants that morning and I didn't think it would show in the video. I also didn't catch it while editing it. It was only after someone pointed it out to me that I realized my faux pas.
mai uitam la clipurile tale despre barbierit si nici nu am banuit ca esti roman. esti un roman elegant!
It's interesting to me as a Welsh man that the Romanian shirt is called an IE. In the Welsh language, IE is the word for YES. I also agree with others commenting below that your voice and delivery is very soothing and relaxing
There are quite a few things in common between the celts and the thracians (later called dacs, then romanians). For one thing, my middle name, a traditionally Romanian name, Ioan, is also found among the Welsh. And there are other similarities. Trace the origins of the celts and you might be surprised to find out where they came from.
I like your idea of tucking the shirt in at the top, seems like it would help to keep the shirts nicely folded in a drawer, particularly if your pulling one from the middle of the pile.. It doesn't matter if it causes the bottom of the shirt to wrinkle a bit if your tucking it into you slacks anyway.
Video starts at @2:00 and ends on @5:31
And watch it on playback speed 1.75x so that you don't fall asleep
Thanks very helpful 😂
🤣
Rude!
Uuuhhh oooohhh, love how tidy your wardrobe is and how tidy you keep everything :-)
This 61 year old retired American has too much time on my hands....but my shirts are perfectly folded! Thank you, Raoul. A good instructional video. I used book of like size to your board.
Proud to be romanian!!! Very nice thanks for sharing.
Great folding tips. love the detail in this presentation. Try our small luggage dividers which double as folding board as well.
Wow, what a gem of a video.i didn’t have a board but did have a sheet of A4 which worked well. Next stage - a board! Thanks so much for posting this great life hack.👍🏻
Wow the great idea to fold shirts,my husband have lots of shirts that I only hang in closet. Thanks for this video
Beautiful handwriting in the beginning
bravo ,
Thanks for exposing and explaining Romanian traditional shirts from Bucovina (called IE). Nice folding tips also!
SND baiatul asta e român? ca-l cheama Pop :))
Nice video showing how to fold shirts in easy way.
I do the same thing with clothes hangers.
It has nothing to do with the shirts but you have a beautiful voice very relaxing.
!!
nadia yo sounds like you're all getting rather excited over this guy lol
That feeling is called ASMR! Look it up on youtube! Super relaxing :)
I know exactly what u meant. I took a nap while watching this and I'm a straight guy. lol
MarieNightAndDay
This is how they taught us at Abercrombie and Fitch.
yes, we had to take a shirt folding CLASS to work there. lol.
I love the Romanian shirts...for women, they would look fab. Thanks for the folding tips, I'll show my sons 😉
You'll probably love my wife's collection of Romanian costumes, have a look: straiealese.com
Ebay sells acrylic shirt folding boards for cheap in case your viewers don't have a carpenter handy. Your voice is so soothing...
They didn't have them when I made this video. Look at the date when I published it. And even if they'd been around, I doubt I'd have bought one when I have plenty of wood in my cellar and our carpenters happened to be working at our house that day. It took about 5 minutes for them to make me a couple of beautiful boards that I still use.
i love ur voice. so relaxing n calm
Thank you.
Great! My husband have an amazing amount of shirts all smashed in the rod. Definitely will do this! Thank you!
Griselda Garcia
Excellent technic.. Thank you
liked ur videos... and i learned how to do my hubby shirts .. liked ur voice xoxo
Thank you, sir. this was relaxing and educating.
Great video, glad I found your channel. I am going to require my son to watch them. What are the dimensions of the board? I am in the US and want to go to Home Depot and get one cut.
Since no one has replied with specifics, the majority of clothi g stores at the mall use these, such as teen stores, possibly where lots of t shirts are sold. I've seen them being used at the limited &lane bryant. You cluld always keep your eyes open for one or ask staff if they have one in the stock room that you can measure, or better yet, if they have an extra one. I've got one laying around so&was here. I wish i could send it to you. Mine is acrylic, which i like because I can see if I left any wrinkles under the board. I despise wrinkles on laundered and folded clothing. lol. Best wishes.
Thank you so much! Very helpful. I love your tie color.
🙂
Very informative!! Love the part of hanger direction. Thanks for sharing!!
Very well explained...don't listen to bad comments.. thank-you for uploading.. keep up
I like your technique of tucking the shirt tail in. Wonderful idea.
When I was a kid at 10, I worked in a knit wear factory in one summer holiday, of course, child labor was/is illegal. I watched those girls who worked in the packing department, a bit older than me, folded the knitwear nice and neat and packed it into a poly bag just in 10 seconds. They used just a piece of cardboard to the size of each particular knit wear design as a folding tool. I wondered why we can't find such kind of tools on the market to help people fold their clothes efficiently and nicely. Now, I am going to look around my home to see if I can find something like this board to help me fold my clothes. Thanks for reminding me of this board.
Raoul!
I just viewed your video on how to fold these type of shirts!
Thank you so much!
I am going to get me a cardboard or a nice piece of wood to utilize just lke yours!
Thanks and I subscribed! Trying to teach my son to do such as he gets older right? :-) practice makes perfect!😊💗🙏💗
Kelso, WA
thanks for the tip! keep up the good work
Hi Sir may I know the size of the wooden plank? Thank you for replying
He says A4 piece of paper. So, approximately 8.5" x 11" American sheet of paper if that helps. 🤔
Excellent demonstration. Thank you.
cool!! I've never been so excited to go fold my shirts :-p
+mark lev Have fun!
Wow, there's so much more room in my closet now thanks! I used a old school book instead that used a4 sheets of paper 😊
Ur voice is so comforting.
Great video. I used cover of old A4 hardcover notebook instead of board.
Thank you!
+Runolist Velebitski That'll do the job as well, glad you liked it!
Raoul Pop and yet, here we are.
Great video. Thank you. Can that A4 size board be used with any size shirt? Do you need a bigger board for larger sized shirts?
Hello Raoul. I am a fan if your "Elegant Gentleman" videos. Thank you for making them
I was hoping you could tell me the exact dimensions of your folding board. I used a similar one in the store where I once worked. Boards can be purchased on "Amazon." However, I really liked the custom made board.
I appreciate your time. Thank you.
Xyane Alexander.
Wow! Very helpful indeed! Thank you!
That’s really slick. Is the board the size of the collar, left to right, and a little shy of half the length, top to bottom?
You're overcomplicating it. The board is the size of A4 paper (approx. US letter size).
@@RaoulPop …….Thanks
Really liked this demo!
Nice video, you are very talent.
nice helpful video bro. it's reduces my effort of folding shirts. by the way you have a very attractive voice. I felt asleep in the middle of the video. it's really nice. please try to make some casual videos with this same tempo in voice.
Nicely done -- thanks!
Fantastic work! Thank you for sharing😘
Thanks Raoul really got some insights to better manage my wardrobe...also i could really use your opinion on rolled up sleeves... i tend be wear a lot of informal shirts and i like to have my sleeves rolled up...i hardly ever wear my casual shirts without rolling up the sleeves and due to this i tend to store them hanged up with the sleeves rolled up so that i don't have to redo them all the time...is this ok or am i disrupting my shirts like this ?? Looking forward to your advice on the matter
I wouldn't worry about it with casual shirts. I don't normally hang my shirts with the sleeves rolled up, just because I'm obsessive about these things. There's something called a "casual roll", which is easy to do and undo. Here's a video that shows it: th-cam.com/video/jubtKv5cNAE/w-d-xo.html
Thanks so much Raoul...really appreciate your prompt response !! Thumbs up :)
I too intend to engage the services of wood craftsperson to commission a bespoke wooden template. Would you recommend a regular varnish to complete the said item, or suggest using a French Polisher?
+My Opinion I would recommend having your assistant do some research to determine what measurements and varnish would work best for your shirts.
Spiffing idea old boy.
good video. i tried this rectangle sheet to fold.but i could not... i still continue without the disc......
Awesome. Thank you for the video. And now a question no one has probably asked of you. What kind of pen are you writing with? Awesome pen, for sure. Fountain pen? Thanks so much!
Very nice end result. Love the board idea.
You mentioned in the beginning that hanging shirts get wrinkled when hung to tightly, but don't you also get wrinkles from folding, just in different places?
Yes. It's a trade-off. What's more important to you? Having more space to hang your clothes while keeping your closet organized, or dealing with a few wrinkles?
Also, keep in mind; with this method they are mostly folds, not creases :)
Big difference between wrinkles and creases or folds. The guess which one gets the job.
heylo where can i get that square that you use to fold your nice shirts. thank you.
Thanks so much. This is even faster than the traditional method. I didn't use a board but I used an A4 booklet
Glad you found it useful!
So that's what shirt cardboards are for! (Do they still put cardboards in new shirts? I haven't seen them packed in those nice boxes in ages)
Thanks. It's also a great tip for my fellow ladies too.
+Tera Tomare They still put cardboards in new shirts, yes. Not all brands do it. And you're welcome!
Very nice work
Would you suggest the same folding technique for travel? I travel quite a bit and want a way to not have to iron my shirts at the hotel each time.
Yes.
Very useful! Thank you for posting this video
I bought a cheap nylon chopping board in a thrift store and it works perfect.
Not sure if I missed it. But what's the size of the board or where can I buy?
Grand Master Chizz I think it's about the size of a bond paper.
thank you very very very much ..I loved your work & your video it was all nicely done .
Love your videos..find them very relaxing_ But I gotta say..you are not the typical romanian..I live between Italy and UK(where millions of romanians moved)..lemme tell you..I would not decribe them as elegant gentlemen :-) But with you the future is bright ..keep up the good job!
Good instructions. I would probably use a piece of cardboard or poster board.
Where’s the link to the original source TM Lewyn?
You have a housekeeper?
I had an annotation on the video with a link to the T. M. Lewin video, but annotations went away some time ago. Here it is: th-cam.com/video/FLmyoK7kmOA/w-d-xo.html. As for the housekeeper, the operative word is "had". She went to Germany to work there. We'd love to have another, but we haven't found the right person yet.
I love those traditional shirts. is there a place to find them online?
You have to go hunt them down in various villages in Romania, older folks still have them in their dowry chests (yes, you read that right, dowry chests).
thanks
Cool. whats the dimension of that wood piece?
its really helpful, thank you so much,
please could you tell me the size of the board , may be I'll change it with cartoon
A4 or US Letter
Raoul Pop thnx a lot
very nice
The size of a piece of better paper. or the size of the cardboard that comes in a new shirt
Thanks for the video - could you share the dimensions of the rectangle you used to fold the shirts?
+Frances DeJesus About the size of an A4 sheet of paper.
Thanks. If you don't have a board a magazine will work fine. Also some cutting boards, unused, are about the right size.
Whats the size of the board? or i can cut out what ever i fancy?
Great vid Raoul!! I've learned a bit from a few of your videos!
So nice!I like!🤗
Thank you!
Thank you so much, I use my A4 paper folder instead of the wood board, it also works fine :)
Great video! I just got lectured by a 20 year old college kid not to tuck the end in, because, "Your not technically supposed to and it really annoys him when I do that." I love it when people tell me how things are, "supposed to" be done that are fairly speculative. I can see how if you were just stuffing the material into the back with lack of care, it could lead to bulging and wrinkles. However, if you are ensuring the the material is flat and even within the pocket, I still believe that his method is better as it leads to less movement in the fabric resulting in a more secure fold.
Size of board ? I use the one which comes with ready made shirt!
Oh you told it ! Slightly longer than A4 size paper ! Will it even for kids ?
When I worked in a men's clothing store, it was a requirement to fold the shirts like this. We also used pins and cardboard to keep everything organized.
Excellent video I will put on action this tips,,
beautiful folds
hi dude! could you give the size of the board please?? thank you!
Duuuuuuude... I am not a dude. And the size of the board is clearly stated in the video.
Such a gentleman I enjoyed this video it made me feel distinguish for some reason I believe we all need a cup of tea after watching this video and sit around the fire and in our comfortable chairs thank you now leave a like a share and a subscribe to this man channel
Brilliant video,
FYI A mousepad works well as a substitute for a board.
one pad and the folding becomes great... nice video.. ( i had to increase playback speed to watch )
I hear people use this video as a sleeping aid. You could also try decreasing the playback speed and see what happens. 😀
@@RaoulPop 😃😴
Thanks for the video. Appreciated.
This really good..it makes me feel better 2 learn somefin new
Somefin? Really got back to 1 grade
Nice video. Useful for men.
i LIKE TO BUY ONE OF THOSE ROMANIA SHIRTS..DO YOU SELL THEM??? I LIKE THE WHITE ONE
I don't sell them, I'm sorry.

Very nice and usefull information
Is it need to iron before use?
