Beryl Remains A Powerful Category 4 Hurricane, 'Life-threatening Wind And Storm Surge Possible'

The National Hurricane Center has released its 5:00pm advisory on Hurricane Beryl. The storm remains a powerful Category 4 hurricane with wind speeds of 155mph and is expected to bring 'life-threatening winds and storm surge' to Jamaica.

I bet it restrengthenslook at this hurricane’s history, went from a cat 4 to a cat 3.. then from cat 4 hit cat 5. It’s only 2 mph from a cat 5, so it’s still concerned… never a doubt that it would trend towards Texas.

It seems to me that it has a strong possibility of entering the Gulf, at which point, it will increase in strength and will be anyone's guess where it will land. I live by Indian Rocks Beach in Tampa Bay and keeping a close eye. Anything can happen. They said Katrina was headed to east Florida and look at where it ended....
