Congrats! I recently traded my KLX300 on a dirt bike too since I was using it as a single-track tool and not riding it on the road. But I kept with a 4 stroke. I traded my KLX300 on a CRF250RX. There's no comparison. The RX has nearly twice the power and weighs 60 lbs less than the KLX. Not that my opinion means anything, but I think it would be cool to put the 351 engine in a KLX300R chassis rather than KLX300.
Thanks! I do not do too much road riding anymore, and after riding my buddy's KTM 150SX, I was really contemplating why I would continue to ride the KLX off road. These bikes are just so much lighter and a lot smoother over the rough terrain. And I totally agree, the 351 would be a beast in a 300R. That is the plan once a good deal comes around
Congrats! The KLX is definitely a better hooligan machine around town haha, I will miss that about the 300. However, the KLX450 swap should be equally as fun

From here on out, if you hop on a 4t you'll think "why waste my time on this 4t when i can be on my 2t". Having to haul it sucks though.
I already have that feeling 😅 The KX is so raw, so it will probably get a lot of desert time, but the GasGas is so smooth and is too good in the woods
