I'm a big fan of this route. There was a variant that abused summons and throwables, but I think it's faster to just learn the fights and use consumables while you're recovering stamina or if a boss dodges away from you
this is a sick speedrun, good job. Love that Laxasia is fought raw, between her, manus, and king of puppets, the run has a great mix of exploits and just straight up skill check fights that will make the run very exciting to watch and leave a lot of room for improvements.
Very crazy how quickly you adapted to and executed all these sudden changes to the route to get this time. Much time to still save, but everything was done very well this early on for the route.
I appreciate that, yeah. It's been a blast adapting to the ever-changing meta. Seems like every day there's a new weapon/handle that becomes viable. I'm happy this run that I routed myself is gaining traction.
it would be so cool for a speed running explanation guide talking about skips, discoveries and fps changes. awesome video. id love to try some of these skips they look fun

Some games that are ran on PC have plug-ins through the program running my timer (livesplit), that remove load times for you, automatically split when a boss dies, etc. This game doesn't have any tools yet so we use RTA, or "real time" until a load remover plug-in is created. This is mainly to minimize hardware advantages by having faster load times.
The idea of the build is to do big damage with the guard parries, since they just buffed them. Dancer sword has been giving me the best results even if it's a little out of the way
Somethings weird in the Fuoco Boss Fight, your controller buttons dont align with whats happening in the game. And you broke his groggy status or whatever, by throwing something at him which i didnt know was a thing but thats not the problem, problem is that you press some buttons but your inventory doesnt change on the left so how to hell did you though anything.
Nice cheating allegation YEP The thing he threw to stagger is called a shotput and yes that does actually work, its a lot easier than getting a charged R2 off. And he had it in his extra bag which you access by holding X/A and then select the item with the d-pad. If you do it fast enough then you don't see the extra bag pop up. Look at the fight again and you'll notice it :)

What the hell am I doing wrong?!!! I been playing this for over 2 hours collectively and I cannot defeat the first boss dude 2 minutes into the game? Granted I'm not a huge gamer and been playing Hogwarts pretty much all year.....but I thought I was better than this!!! Any tips? The game doesn't exactly "train" you much as to fighting aside from basic descriptions. I can almost get the guy to like 5% and then he clocks me in the head....
Try to get comfortable with all the attacks on your weapon. R1 combos, R2 combos, running R1, running R2, charge r2 etc. It's alot easier to learn the game using a weapon you're familiar with, so pick a handle you enjoy using and try to match the damage (thrust vs slash) type to your head, and experiment with fable arts aswell. Every mechanic of combat is used for different purposes. And don't forget to use the arm!!!

Yeah, honestly I love this route, i imagine it will get more watered down and the strats will be less fun, but I'm having a blast.

Bramble Curved Sword handle could be good. same scaling as saber but easier to get from black market merchant plus has good fable art.
