The nurse was admitted to neurosurgical services with a severe concussion. That surgeon lost his operating/admitting privileges in that hospital. He left his orthopedic clinic and tried ER doctoring but soon was delicensed after lawsuit by nurse who he'd knocked out. He was never allowed medical practice privileges ever again anywhere.

I can attest to the burning of the “privates”! I was preparing to go on my honeymoon in Jamaica so I used a tanning booth. I developed uneven tan lines in my groin area, very noticeable in a swim suit. So I decided to fix this by laying “frog legged” in the booth. OM Gosh! I was so burnt down there that I went to the hospital! (Thankfully I was still 6 weeks out from our honeymoon!) I did get quite the chuckle from my OBGYN! She asked if I learned anything, oh my!!! Did I ever!!! Ouchie! 😂😂😂
She ate it after it was frozen. That's because it looked like a cube shaped which is only happening if you freeze it in some tiny container that creates a cube shape like yuck. Also I wouldn't want that container being used after she did that, which is also yuck.
The fact that you guys get full on anesthesia and not just an anti anxiety pill before any type og 'oscopy is something I envy. Staying awake for upper endoscopy and colonoscopy sucks!!! We dont get fully knocked out here in Norway during things like that unless we apply beforehand and have a note stating why you need it. I've had full on surgeries on my body with local anesthetics only. Im actually going in for another surgery next week and since I had so much anxiety and thought I had been cleared for full anesthetics to knock me out last time but didnt, the surgeon has graceously given me anxiety meds to take before the next one. I also happen to have Ehlers Danlos syndrome which makes local anesthetics not as efficient and I often need more than twice the recommended dose. Last time I had the surgery that is repeated next week, the local anesthetics wore out before he started stitching which made for a weird experience. I told him in time to set more shots tho but yeah.. They dont mess around with full anesthesia here. If it can be done awake, it will be done awake. They seem to think it is healthier for the body or something to not get fully knocked out for minor things.
I'm thankful that I was knocked out for both of my colonoscopies. Woke up feeling out of it and was required to be driven home by someone else, but that's much more preferable to being uncomfortable for however long the procedure takes.

I have a pretty decent pain threshold due to having a connective tissue disorder that causes my body to malfunction a lot. Joints dislocating, skin tearing and bruising easily, internal organs struggling, etc. Pain is my eternal companion, but that colonoscopy was brutal! I cant even begin to state how painful it was. I'd do 10 upper endoscopies over that one colonoscopy again!!
@@Charokeif it’s hypermobility syndrome or even possibly EDS that you have, then they may have given you anaesthetic but it simply wasn’t as effective, as connective tissue disorders make things like anaesthesia and pain medication less effective. Definitely mention it to your anaesthesiologist if you need another procedure.

I do struggle a lot with local anesthetics. I had surgery two days ago where they only used localized anesthetics and it was out before stitching started. I cant even begin to tell you how weird that feels😅. But no, for colonoscopy and gastroscopy and such, it just isnt a thing unless you arrange for it specifically. For the upper variant you get a spray that numbs the gag reflex, and you might get an anti-anxiety pill. For the colonoscopy you are told to breathe deeply and relax. You might get an anti anxiety pill there too but only if you show anxiety or stress. You simply dont get full on anesthesia for those things. We also do a lot of surgery types awake here. I always ask to be knocked out completely for surgeries, but for the one I had two days ago I was denied, as the surgeon said it would take longer for the set up to be ready than for the surgery to be done. So I got an anti anxiety pill and local anesthetics. And felt all the stitching happening!
Speaking on BBL What really gives away a BBL is how the legs and hips do not match. Women who naturally have large butt's also have larger hips and thick thighs and the ass moves while walking. It's not two lil' tooth pick legs, then BAM ass outta nowhere that looks solid and doesn't jiggle.
That kid counting for the anesthetic was cute. When I was 17, I underwent wisdom teeth removal by a maxillofacial surgeon. Got my count to 50 before they realized I wasn't going out. Gave me another dose. Woke up in the middle of surgery while they were removing my bottom left wisdom tooth. That is a pain I still remember 26 years later. Many swear words were uttered as they gave me more general anesthetic. I woke up fully alert and upset while the surgery staff were still packing my mouth. Got home and had so much pent up energy I walked my dog. Then found out the hard way I was allergic to codiene. That stuff was bad, made me hallucinate, didn't know who anyone was, couldn't recognize my own reflection and the world was melting hardcore. Ah yes, memories.
Last time I had surgery & did the countdown, I got to zero & started at 10 again. I finally went out at about 4 the second time. I have an unusually high tolerance for medications…. It’s kind of funny to see a doc’s reaction because they don’t believe me until they see it happen. 😂
And, expired toothpaste, will wreck your gums. A coworker told me that because it happened to him I said, thank you I never would’ve thought toothpaste would be so dangerous.

Having worked in health care for over 30 years, I've definitely seen first hand how a lot of doctors treat nurses. It was awful and so very disrespectful and mean. It then causes the patient to suffer consequences due to the hate from those doctors 😢😢

yep...multiple surgeries by the surgeon and the anesthetist taking care of 2 or 3 patients at the same time... yes, it happens! It was only when there was a complaint for being bad clinical practice and the anesthetist had a disciplinary process that they suspended this practice, not because it went badly for a patient, just a complaint by a professional who thought it was bad practice... then as a "complication".... the surgery times increased...in countries with universal health system those are the consequences...same number of staff, many patients, more time on the waiting list....

I have a question for you that I’ve been wondering a while, you see the reaction that Steph (beasteater) had to those skincare products?… well she got a breast augmentation I believe 7-8 months prior as she documented, I’ve heard of breast implant illness and since she has had the surgery she has complained a lot about her skin and sometimes being quite ill. Now I’m aware of the effects that expired products can have, but would there be any possibility that something in the skincare products reacted on her skin the way they did or had worse symptoms due to something related to her breast augmentation surgery? I know it might sound super far fetched but could it be a possibility? If so, how? What exactly could be the correlation between the two if it’s the case? (Edit : the main reason why I have thought this, is because even after her skin recovering over time from the expired skincare. She still had ongoing issues with her skin and said she experienced rashes on her face, even when using good products that were in date).

Don’t work in South Carolina there is a trickle effect down to even the janitorial the whole hospital turned abusive, perhaps my experience is one in a million but have worked in the medical field for a decade and never has this occurred before only here in the south. Hopefully all hospitals don’t fit in this category.

Yeah, I had a head surgery and was not told he was training another doctor to replace him beforehand. When I woke up, he told me, but the staples on the right side of my head were really messed up. It turned out okay, though. It was just weird to me.

yep...multiple surgeries by the surgeon and the anesthetist taking care of 2 or 3 patients at the same time... yes, it happens! It was only when there was a complaint for being bad clinical practice and the anesthetist had a disciplinary process that they suspended this practice, not because it went badly for a patient, just a complaint by a professional who thought it was bad practice... then as a "complication".... the surgery times increased...in countries with universal health system those are the consequences...same number of staff, many patients, more time on the waiting list....

I have a question for you that I’ve been wondering a while, you see the reaction that Steph (beasteater) had to those skincare products?… well she got a breast augmentation I believe 7-8 months prior as she documented, I’ve heard of breast implant illness and since she has had the surgery she has complained a lot about her skin and sometimes being quite ill.
Now I’m aware of the effects that expired products can have, but would there be any possibility that something in the skincare products reacted on her skin the way they did or had worse symptoms due to something related to her breast augmentation surgery?
I know it might sound super far fetched but could it be a possibility? If so, how? What exactly could be the correlation between the two if it’s the case?
(Edit : the main reason why I have thought this, is because even after her skin recovering over time from the expired skincare. She still had ongoing issues with her skin and said she experienced rashes on her face, even when using good products that were in date).

I’m 51, my skin hasn’t changed in 20+ years, I wear spf 50+, wear hats and long sleeves daily, I don’t even have wrinkles yet. While my friends were laying out in the sun covered in baby oil I was in the house or under an umbrella. Today they look so old, have had skin cancer or both.

Don’t work in South Carolina there is a trickle effect down to even the janitorial the whole hospital turned abusive, perhaps my experience is one in a million but have worked in the medical field for a decade and never has this occurred before only here in the south. Hopefully all hospitals don’t fit in this category.
