Seminal song growing up.
In 1992 I was a GnR, Nirvana, and Alice in Chains guy. By 1994 I was all on board with death and black metal and this was just something I saw on Headbanger's Ball in like 1993 and it fucking blew me away as a comic book fan. I was like 'if this is the music catering to my tastes then I'm all for it'.
And I've always been more of an Entombed fan than my friends were. Always love their crunchy groove. It's like sexy but also has a deep, epic side to it. DCLXVI is their magnum opus in that regard.
And RIP LG Petrov.

I think the first ones to do death and roll were Xysma with their First and Magic album.

@@Morbidous both came out in 1993. But Xysma had more grind in it.
