Thanks for this vidéo. Just one thing I noticed : at the beginning when you install the card, you should attach the front side of the cart ON the back side and not the contrary otherwise the card could be blocked in the mechanism. I can see further that you install the fair isle card correctly ;)

It can be many reasons why the carriage is hard to move. Change the yarn, change tension, oil the machine, add weights, check the sponge bar.... Just need to try different combinations.
I love your content but please clip your cards the other way! The top should be behind the bottom. I did this all the time myself until I destroyed a few cards getting the top caught making its way through the reader.

when the punchcard is put in, does the machine know how to center the design on the knitting?
does one need to push tuck buttons in when using punch cards? (and not doing fair isle)
