Enjoyed that video especially the rain at the end, that was a proper test for it. Just out of interest could you tell me the service intervals please for the oil+filter?
Hi Nelis, they just launched the 800X in the UK - expecting deliveries in around 3weeks time.. so expecting to see some on the trails this summer still. Do you have any references for aftermarket accessories and parts etc? Groete, 😉
Hi mate, that's great news! You'll enjoy it...different kind of animal! You can check my review video on my page in the description I linked all the aftermarket accessories I bought! Also, try the Facebook Kove group, search for uncle Wang, he has an online shop that sells a lot of accessories and great price!
Very nice collection of videos. I have a couple of wuestions for you, I would appreciate the reply. 1) How good is the handling compared to Tuareg? 2) How hood is the feeling compared to the Tuareg? Tuareg is a premium bike in my opinion.
Thanks! It depends, if you take the stock tuareg you cannot compare it to the Kove, it lacks power and suspension is not great. My friend did a lot of upgrades on his tuareg, from adriani suspension to an open air box and ecu tune, so his bike is pretty well set up, in my opinion it's a little too expensive for what you get, I'm super glad I bought the Kove, as I was also looking at the tuareg! The handling of the kove is excellent, it comes stock with a stabilizer, which is not stock on the tuareg. The suspension also makes a huge difference.
@@Nelisjvr the suspension on the Tuareg is bad because most of the forks are badly assembled from factory, there's a guy on youtube that had his fork serviced and found some shims bent and valves installed wrongly
Hello from the US and great videos on this bike. Considering this vs a Tuareg or 790/890. Is cruise control included or an option? Lots of road/highway between me and gravel/dirt. Thanks.
Hey thanks!👌🏻 I appreciate it! There are 4 different versions, the 800x standard, 800x touring, 800x Pro and 800x rally. They all have throttle cables except for the touring one. The touring has ride by wire with cruise control, larger fuel tank and a 19" front tyre...the other 3 are more off road orientated without cruise control and 21" front...😂 😂
@@Nelisjvr thank you very much! Those details aren't clearly highlighted on Kove's site. Looks like only two dealerships in North Carolina, US...luckily one not too far from me. I currently ride a 2018 Suzuki V-Strom 650XT. Ready for something a bit more aggressive with more ground clearance, but still offers reasonable seat height and comfort for the ride to the fun stuff. Thanks again.
@@art2587 the 800x Pro might be a good option for you! Especially the 21" if you consider doing more off roading...for me personally I don't have the need for cruise control. In my opinion, the more electronics a bike has...the easier it is to let you down...I've seen too many people struggle off road because "my bike went into a different rider mode by mistake"🤣🤣 I also do some highway riding, but I prefer being in control of the throttle myself, if it doesn't have adaptive cruise control I think it's a little dangerous...there are too many silly drivers these days! 👌🏻 anyway..I hope you can test ride one of these soon!
@@Nelisjvr thanks again! Cruise Control is definitely something of a personal choice, and can be surely debated. I was first introduced to CC on a 2005 BMW 1200 RT and while not adaptive (keeps me alert and involved), its a lovely option for stretches of highway, when you'd like to rest your throttle hand (i'm not a fan of throttle locks). I'm in IT, so tech thrills me, and recognize nothing is ever released perfect. Suggestion for another video..in depth side by side comparison between those numerous versions of this bike, haven't yet found a good version comparison on TH-cam..Kove needs to pick up the advertising...
@@art2587 totally agree! I would sometimes like CC, but only after a long day off road when in too lazy to keep the throttle open🤣 I will see what I can do, but here...everyone buys either the Pro or the Rally, I haven't even seen any of the other models on the road...seeing as the hike is cheap here...most people just buy the top end one!
Hi, please check the video description for all the info on the engine and millage, currently on 10200km, not one single problem, did a cam inspection and it's shining like a mirror!
I can tell you, he is too much happy. You know when your friend fall in love for a girl and he spend all day talking about her to you, and you can just listen and listen and listen… this is me when I listen him talking about kove 😅
I'm super happy with the bike, it's true what my friend said, I can talk about it all day long, no need to spend thousands more on upgrading suspension or tuning ecu's...the bike is super just as it is from the box. One thing I don't like is the license plate holder...😂 I broke my plate off twice already...now I bought a tail tidy as I see it will continue to happen, other than that...nothing at all!
This was rather easy, to be honest, most of it can be ridden on a road bike. Except maybe the rocky road going up closer to the middle of the video, but probably passable too. Would appreciate it if you took it to some serious off-road. Perhaps easy trails or sand/deep water if you're comfortable with that. Also.. Have you ever dropped it? Are those crash bars sturdy enough?
Haha I would love to see anyone try this on a road bike🤣 it was so easy that I broke my license plate in 3...😂 you should visit the channel, I have multiple videos all at different locations. Dropped the bike hundreds of times already, it's aftermarket crash bars, totally worth the money!
@@Nelisjvr Well, to be fair, I was riding an adv and a friend of mine had a Ducati scrambler with 100% road tires... We did have to push his bike up the hill at one point, but otherwise it fared pretty well

How many kilometres have you on the bike ?
I’m curious about reliability and if it has the same camshaft problem like the 790 and the 890
