special investment region (DSIR) or DHOLERA SMART CITY is a Greenfield industrial city planned and located approximately 100 km. south west of Ahmedabad Gujarat . #Dholera spans an area of approximately 920 sq. km. & the total sir will be completed in the next two decades, while land is ready for allotment in the area of development under 22 sq. km. It is strategically located between the industrial cities of Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot and Bhavnagar.
Dholera’s Immediate city development area of approximately 5,600 acres is expected to be operational by 2019. It is envisaged to be world-class destination with excellent infrastructure. It will also have its own self-sustaining eco-system, while industry will be the main economic driver.
The city will provide opportunities for the setting up of manufacturing units. While also aiming to provide an environment to Work. Live. Learn and Play. #Dholera SIR will be a role model for future cities in India.

Being so prominent in world politics, India still has to develop a city which would come under the top 10 in terms of infrastructure.
Forget top 10, there are no cities which are in top 500 in infrastructure. China alone probably has 300 cities with top notch infra, then USA, Japan, South Korea and EU will have hundreds of cities. It requires high dedication and lots of sacrifices, which Indians cannot make. Anyways, at least Modi is trying to do whatever can be done in this faulty system.

Those who are saying that the work is it too slow... I agree to some extent but right now there's a grounding process going on in the whole area...and it takes a lot of time...
For example the riverfront in Ahmedabad, when that riverfront was built for almost two three years govt was just dumping tons and tons of sand just to level up the area on which it will be built.... And at that time my dad also got frustrated and was criticizing and saying that lets hope it doesn't become a blunder...
But today riverfront is one of the best attractions of Ahmedabad City... Sometimes when you go there, form some angles it feels like you are at some foreign place ....
People were also saying that a gift City will be a huge disaster but Today international banks are coming there for doing business, So be patient and wait for the beautiful outcome...
Don't take it Seriously brother.... Haters are everywhere... Unko unka jawab khud hii mil jayega jab ye city grow karega...
And that's what is happening with the GIFT city and Now No one says anything... And that's what is also going to happen with Dholera after some years....
