Love this collaboration! "Vincent" is such a great song by Don McLean! He originally did it in 1972. What a great remake with Home Free! Rob's voice is perfect for this song. Such a beautiful tribute to the sad life of the painter Vincent Van Gogh. He suffered from depression & committed suicide. He never saw any success during his life. But now his paintings are worth millions of dollars.
I've always loved this song and Home Free has made me love it even more. Don still sounds wonderful and Rob's voice! Beautiful. Thanks for the Home Free reactions.
Great reaction Amauri! I agree with everything you said. Beautiful song, beautiful voice by Don, beautiful backup by HF and Rob and beautiful background with the paintings. Loved the ending too…so clever with them as the painting! Good one!🥰
When HF released this, Rob had posted to say this was an all-time favorite song of his and he'd struggled a bit in the making of the video because he was getting emotional. Rob and Don's voices (and tone) so complemented one another. And then with Austin in the mix. Always appreciate when Adam, the beatboxer, gets to add his sweet tenor. If you happen to watch it again, look for the very subtle animation in the background paintings. HF has soooo many songs (and videos) every time I'm enjoying one of their latest releases, I'll also check out someone on YT who's fairly new to these guys, probably reacting to some of their older work, and I'm reminded of when something they're watching was once my fave. Too many from which to choose.
I had to take 2 humanity courses in college. My instructor was a tiny Lil young red head that was sooooo excited & so animated.....she kept me interested for sure. She was so informative about art history & Van Gough, I'm thankful for the instruction & knowledge. & now my favorite group does this song. ❤❤❤
One of the best collab duos ever. Don & Home Free. Sir Paul McCartney once called this "the perfect song", and we all know what a predigous songwriter he was
Always a beautiful collaboration when Don and Home Free get together. Don also just released an album called American Boys and Home Free collaborated with him on the title track Adam Chance just released a new video a very different version of Leave Her Johnny ( Lowlands)
Great reaction and comments, as always. I love how the last guitar strum blends into the harmony chord at the end in that "fire edit." Can't get enough of this beautiful performance.
This is truly phenomenal! What a voice Don McLean still has! Wow. And of course Austin also sang great, but Rob's voice is just perfect for this song. His voice so warm, soft as silk and full of emotion. The quiet background vocals and guitar playing complete it for me. It's the same song as my youth, but with the Home Free twist it's something different. A beautiful song where I, of course, as a Dutch person, know the history of Vincent van Gogh well. I lived not far from his birthplace for a while. If I could, I would have given Don McLean and Home Free a bouquet of sunflowers in memory of Vincent. The sunflower one of his most famous paintings 🌻...... 💖 💖💖💖💖💖 Vincent's life was full of depression. I think his younger brother Theo was his greatest support. Vincent had a love/hate relationship with Paul Gauguin. When there were tensions between the two again, Vincent cut off his left ear. There is a painting of his ear being bandaged. At the age of 37, Vincent shot himself in the chest and died. A man with a sad life where he mainly made himself difficult. There is a mini series about Vincent which is very interesting to see.
This is so very beautiful and sad at the same time. Don has not lost his voice at all. You can also see the respect they have for Don. Also, Adam Rupp is singing in this too. He has a beautiful tenor voice. Love your reaction!
Stunningly beautiful…..I was a junior in High School when this song first came out so I have heard this song many, many times. I like this better than the original because I think Home Free’s harmonies provide additional warmth and depth. Thank you for a wonderful reaction!
Voiceplay released their new video on June 28th.... Classical Chaos. They brought back their characters (Grundels) from In The Hall of The Mountain King. It is absolutely fantastic and fun.

Don Mclean still has it when he sings. Rob and Austin did a great job. The harmonies are great. Home Free did great job with Don. 😊❤❤❤❤❤❤

Simple, but perfect arrangement! Love Rob!
