Personally, I feel like Drizzle ORM might be better at the moment, because Astro DB only supports libSQL and it's only used with Astro, while Drizzle supports Postgres, MySQL, and SQLite, and you can use it with different frameworks like Next.js and Nuxt. Also, it's easier to host. Astro DB's hosted version is still in closed beta.
yeah. well they actually sunsetted astro studio, because it wasn't used so much. so you kinda need to BYODatabase. while you are correct about drizzle i still think that astro db is a super well thought-out plug and play solution for astro
unfortunately not :/ but it's meant for asteo so it doesn't really matter. for a non-astro alternative i would use turso in combination with turso. see my guides for that
@@nevillebrem I was searching an alternative since Planet Scale blocked some countrys to use and now removed the free plan. My alternatives is Neon, Supabase, D1 or Turso. I don't know which is better, which do you recommend?

Can i use it without using astro?

I would recommend turso. it's basically sqlite and fun fact: astro db is built on top of turso!
