@@haasii I'll update you when I get them. I'm expecting full bass and good perfomanace with mainstream music. I've had experience with some good balanced headphones and some that were underwhelming but redeemed with a good DAC. I'm gonna try these with and without an amp.
@@jamesstevens968 I got these about a week ago and was able to try them on my Loxjie A30, they sound great, the bass sounds natural and rumbles your ears at higher volumes. Voices, music and games sound very clear and full. I'm getting the FIIO K3 headphone amp soon and hope that it makes them sound even better with their balanced S output.
Everything I've seen says they're similar but the FT1 has much better tuning than the JT1. I can't speak firsthand since my order is queued for shipment.
@@hazirahhusnamohdzaki1957 I got it a few days ago. It's pretty decent for the money but if on a budget the JT1 is close enough that I'd probably stick to those. Most of the difference to my ears came from running them on a balanced amp (K7) versus just plugging into a device directly.
@@hazirahhusnamohdzaki1957 sorry for the delay. i thought i had already replied. i'd stick with the JT1. the FT1 sounds kind of sloppy to me for the price. even running balanced they're kinda meh compared to something like a DT770 LE running unbalanced. I think it's the 60mm driver to blame being too big and slow to sound very crisp.
@@brash_hown thanks for the clarification. I was just wondering if these would be good to travel with when someone wants to give their B&Ws px7se a break.
Great review, looks like FiiO has a real winner on there hands considering the price. Not perfect, but really good. Cheers. 🥂
The set has gorgeous looks. Thank you for another objective review Ian.
Thank you for the review.
I bought these yesterday, can't wait to use them!
how are they?
@@haasii wont get them for another week, I bought them off their Aliexpress store

First time I've come across your channel, but I'll be back. Very informative, very objective, nothing sensational.
This looks like a $400-500 can with those gorgeous wooden cups.
The headphone shake test was so funny :)) Ironically Hifiman Arya with $1000 price tag fails the test lol.
Thanks a lot for the excellent review! 🙌
nice review .informative!
Ian, thank you for another wonderful headphone review! 👌

what is good DAC that you pair with this? can you recommend for a beginner like me? thanks
Thanks for the review, the music in background is horrible thought, and your speech look a bit improvised, but that's cool
Thank you 😊😊
Compared to r70x is it worse?
Awesome review! I wonder if the FT1 sounds similar to JT1 with the exception of FT1 being completely closed back?
No kore ref more pro sounding and less suited to gaming apparantly

@@w4ffershii did u get it? how was it compared to jt1? im quite in dilema to get jt1 or wait and save more money for ft1 if its worth it

I wonder how these would do on a plane and if there's any noise cancelation on these.
There's no active noise cancellation but there is apparently some decent passive attenuation

Which is better, FiiO FT1 vs Hifiman Sundara Closed-Back?
Ft1 by far
Sundara closed back was one of the worst headphones I've had they reminded me of the 2013 beats headphones in sound
