Most people don't know that the portion of the tunnel where it opens up to larger walls @1:04 was already constructed when the Epcor tower was built . It was capped off unused for years. It Was meant to be a station at some point but they ended up just using it as part of the new line . In an emergency people could exit the train and have access to get up to ground level in the Epcor tower
Actually, it was never intended to be a station since it would be too close to two stations (Churchill and MacEwan) and the intended emergency egress at the tower was removed, making emergency egress to either Churchill or MacEwan in the opposing tunnel, depending on which would be the safest and most expedient route. The wall panels that seem to hide an access pathway were actually installed to facilitate airflow for the smoke fans and avoid vortices.
Syl Santo , do you happen to know what the plan is for the access wall I see right after corona station ? I predict it will be a future plan at some point .
I like this new tunnel. I go to McCullough to Churchill, then if I love the Churchill station because I don't like the Churchill station because there's another people the root cause I'd like to think because I like to go to my queue to Churchill because I'd like to go to my queue and Churchill so because I don't like this thing. So because I don't like it this send. And then I'd like to go to the new tunnel to get to the South bound capital, one train and the North Valley capital blind truck. So I'm gonna just go to wisdom tomorrow connector so tomorrow they're gonna open. In the West Edmonton mall connect to train valley line soldier gonna opening next soon.
I love how brightly lit the MacEwan-Churchill tunnel is compared to the rest of the underground tunnels.

I'm afraid that I can't help with that. I was sent to work on that project in 2009 and stayed until 2016. I'm back in the US.
