You made me smile. Can relate to everything you said. Off out later in search of my own Barnie ☺️ Lucky you with the Hen Harrier…stunning bird. The best hobby to have…peace, quiet & connecting with nature 👍🏻

Thank you, Gary. That's very kind of you to say. I got a bit lucky on the first one - I don't always come away with such close up shots. 👍

Great video and a prime example of how difficult wildlife photography can be and also how rewarding it can be when everything falls into place…just as you said at the end.

Thanks, Robert. I've never managed a close up image of a Harrier....but I'll keep trying. It's always nice even to just get outside.

Nice one Phil, that’s a great first vlog with some cracking pictures of the Barn Owl and the distant shot of the HH in its environment was lovely! Don’t go too hard on yourself as it’s a learning curve, seeing the Harrier at the end was a nice finish especially with that soft evening light. Keep going mate, boy done well. 👊👍

Thank you very much, mate. Really appreciate the kinds words! I've got so much to learn. I watch a lot of TH-cam, all of your videos in fact, usually on a big screen TV! I need to get better at understanding and using scoial media as I'm still stuck in the dark ages :-) I'm just brewing a flask of filter coffee and I'll be back out there later!

Great first video mate. The Barnie footage and seeing the male HH was great. I was down your way last weekend seen four foxes in the afternoon and a green woody. You've got some great subjects on your door step. Keep it up and I'll look forward to your next one 🎉

Fantastic first video Phil, love the barn owl shots especially the monochrome! I couldn't agree with you more with regard to finding your own locations and not following the crowds. After all if you've researched, found and spent hours patiently waiting in the hope that your field skills have put you in the right place, when it comes off the images mean so much more. Keep it up and see you on the next one👍

Thanks for the lovely note, Scott. You're definitely right, the images mean so much more when you find the wildlife yourself.

Thanks, Mike. Good to know I'm not alone! It's not perfect but I find it easier than adjusting mid pan when the light changes 😂
