  • Travel video about destination Tibet Qinghai Express in Tibet.
    The Third Millennium marked the inauguration of a unique train, the Tibet Qinghai Express that travels from China to Tibet. A railroad through the Himalayas on the ‘roof of the world’ and the highest railway line on earth that leads through breathtaking landscapes from Peking to Lhasa. The journey lasts about forty eight hours and includes two nights on the train.The journey begins on a road that for much of the time runs close to the railway line and travels across the high mountain passes of the Kulun Mountains and at a height of nearly five thousand metres above sea level is a remote high plateau that lies within an earthquake zone and often encounters severe snow storms. The train winds its way higher and higher from one high plateau to the next up to snow covered mountains and into the “home of the gods“. Along with the Great Wall Of China and the Three Gorges Dam, the Tibet Railroad is one of China’s greatest structures. The trains travel at the highest speeds that are possible on permafrost, a hundred kilometres an hour and sometimes even up to a hundred and twenty! The Tibet Qinghai Express has already turned many dreams into reality and in future years even more passengers will experience this magnificent and unique experience.

It was only in the 1950's when China took it militarily, that the situation changed for the worse. Most Tibetans want their country back, but China will never be a vote. Indeed, China is flooding Tibet with lowland Han Chinese.

      This is single line of railway and many stations built in areas no people living yet. They are just for trains to stop waiting for other trains to pass. They are also for maintenance use. Transfer goods is more important for this line. You may not know Tibet is one of the fastest growing provincial areas in China for many years. It’s no longer poor but developed far better than all its neighboring countries and many many other countries in the world since the railway was built. Today most people fly or drive to Tibet. A much more important but much much much difficult to build Lino, the Sichuan Tibet railway, is under construction and part of it is completed and put in use already this year. Tibet and the whole country have gained tremendously in terms of economic development and national defense capability. Nepal people know well it’s their best opportunity to develop their economy and defend their national security by connecting to Tibet railway. No one, except haters, is screwed!

    Good ,China.
    Billion Indian Hindu religion faith place is KAILASH Mansarovar which lies in Tibet. Millions of Hindus would like to travel this auspicious spiritual gold spot. China should provide comfortable access to this place ,easy formalities and hit pure vegetarian foods.

      I think the Chinese call it Gan-Rin-Po-che, you know, the tibetan name of Kailash. I don't view Tibetan having meat in their diet as unethical while still believing in buddhism. Sure it's easy in the fertile lowland of india or china where any vegetable can grow, that's really not the case on the bleak high land.

      Shawn Cheng Texas WAS a nation, until it voluntarily joined the US, unlike Tibet.

    • @obriets
      @obriets 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @monarch wangke The people of Mexico chose independence from Spain when Spain mismanaged Mexico, and 13 years later the people of Texas chose independence from Mexico when they mismanaged Texas. Mexico lost its right to Texas, just like Spain lost its right to Mexico. Neither country was conquered, they broke away, just like Tibet, Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, and Hong Kong would do if they ever got the chance.
      There’s a reason people in China can’t vote for their leaders. The CCP lacks legitimacy and they know they’d be gone if they allowed any alternative to their bungling leadership.

    I am sorry... Even put all the personal position or beliefs aside, the pronunciation of Chinese toponyms (e.g. Qinghai, Xi’an, Lanzhou, Kunlun Mountains...) in this video were literarily trash... Also, the Qinghai-Tibet railway does not pass though Himalayas at all.

      This is just spectacular and an amazing Chinese marvel. Can’t wait to see the day when the plan to extend the railway line from Lhasa to Xigaze and then to Gyirong (or Kerung in Nepali dialect), a port along Sino-Nepal border, which would then ultimately connect to Kathmandu comes to a full fruition. Long live China-Nepal friendship & cooperation!! boatloads of love from Nepal. #China #Nepal #ChinaNepal #Gyirong #Kerung #Rasuwa #neighbors
