Thank you for this excellent room tour! Thanks for lingering a while on beds, fixtures, layout, etc. So many video tours make quick, sweeping shots where you don’t get a sense of what the room’s about.
I feel like Disney isn’t doing enough for the shareholders in this room…like, why aren’t the lights coin operated? And I didn’t see an extra charge for the shower via magicband…and seriously, free sheets and towels?!? Ok, are we just giving things away now?! Get your act together Disney Board of Directors, I want to see a charge for every Magical Disney Breath our Guests take on Property.
They should keep the lights normal
The interior designers probably did the best they could on a ridiculously low budget. Less budget = less theming.
We were upgraded to a family suite here maybe 7 years ago. To be honest it was disgusting. This reno was sorely needed
This room just screams Music to me! It looks like a birthing wing in a hospital furnished by IKEA!
Mid century modern, Scandinavian influence. Liking the padded ottoman storage coffee table. Nice, thoughtful, on wheels.
The former music family suites had a chair which pulled to become a twin bed and a sofa to pull out to become a queen bed. Plus round table with two chairs in the living room area. King bed in the bedroom, which had a solid door, both TVs could be on and there was no crossover. Loved having two showers, to speed up morning routines. Tiny fridge with almost no freezer was a problem, but for when we went with a young child it was Great! Later learned about Beach Club DVC rooms and we never returned as our son grew up, he preferred the deluxe amenities which of course cost about double the price.
Personally I miss the 90s decor for the All Start resorts. I think they should try incorporating more fun and whimsical elements into the design. Each room used to be themed to the nines, but maybe that's just the nostalgia talking. I do like that the floors are no longer carpeted though... This used to be a fun resort, and now it follows the same boring minimalistic design trends....
What part of this room doesn't scream "Disney fun" to a child, right? Lol.

My family and stayed there 3 years ago, before the refurbishment. Those beds sure look more comfortable than the pull out couch, armchair and ottoman that were there.

I've never stayed at an All Star. This makes it look good. I remember the bus lines from the parks for All Star's though. And of course Bob Chapek is still running, I mean ruining, the place. So hopefully soon things will go back to "normal".

the removable shower head is great
From what I can see of the price, still prefer the cabins at Fort Wilderness personally. A little more themed, and you essentially have your own little home, with a nice porch to grill and enjoy the outdoors. Do have to hand it to them for the smart use of space--the Murphy style beds are smart. Like what they did with them at Pop Century, too.
We are just ending a 4 night stay in this room with 3 adults and a 9 year old child. White the bedroom and the kitchen were great spaces, the main a room and living space were not. Not to mention Disney has removed all the frills in the room from years past. The worst was lack of ability to regulate the temp of our room to our liking. Beware, this room option is no upgrade. It’s still very much a motel offering. It’s worth spending the extra hundreds to go up to a moderate even if your only sleeping there!

Doing it again this year this time staying at the Polly bungalows in December..got to see if tom wants to do a room tour.. I don't see he done the pollinesian bungalows..

If both TVs are on, don’t they drown each other out (too raucous)? Are there audio jacks or Bluetooth capabilities? Bring your own headphones?
I would say they screwed up by not going with this format over art of animation. The previous version was terrible with all the pullouts (who wants to sleep on a pull out sofa) but The Murphy beds are such a great improvement and I would stay here over art any day. I think art is so overpriced for less convenience with only two real beds when you get three real beds at music. I hope the extended closure of all star sports is a conversion to more family suites. At least one building.
Outside of the room, do you prefer AoA to Music? I stayed at All Star Movies a few months ago and liked it well enough - but was thinking about Art for my next trip. But its about 30% more in price.
@@iangrimm I personally do not like art of animation rooms. I believe they are over priced for what they are. You could get two rooms for less then they charge for a family suit but you risk not being in lock off rooms. If you like AP style then you will like AoA, I prefer the less in your face style rooms. You also have to know how you like to get from resort to park AoA has the skyliner but it shares it with pop, Caribbean and riviera. So that’s a lot of people trying to use it and most of the resorts with skyliner only have one bus an hour to studios and Epcot. So if you like the buses that’s a negative but in movies you have to share the buses with the other two all star resorts so they are often crowded and hard to get. But if you drive then they are no different. I would also say if you like hotel style resorts then you have to go with AoA because all of the all stars are motel style.
Is it just me or should the fridge open the other way. May have to fix that the next time I stay there.

I very much doubt Bob Chapek had anything to do with the design of this room or the colours used.

"Break room at a CVS" lmao. IDK why but these look even more bland than the standard rooms (which I don't hate). Maybe the standard rooms are smaller so the pops of theming stand out more.

Art Of Animation is much better and character themed, but All Star Resorts are much cheaper!
Should have gone full on 3 Caballeros theme, but I like the amenities. I stayed at ASMu twice in the past and I like almost all the changes compared to 10 or 15 years in the past

I'm not a fan of these minimalist, non-themed rooms.
Are these beds like real mattresses? My teenager stayed at the Polynesian in the pull out couch bed and hated it. She couldn't sleep on it at all; then we switched her to the pull out smaller bed (before renovation) and she hated it. With NO sleep, she was grumpy the whole vacation. We needed the regular bed for ourselves. So I guess she needs a regular bed.

This wouldn't happen with any of us teenagers or adults. We have all done a lot of couch surfing over the years 😁 but but seriously the all star resorts are lovely and comfortable and spacious for the family and they are very affordable if you are on a budget and the theming is brilliant. It makes you really feel like you are in the disney bubble
What? No mints on the pillow? ;). They would have melted anyway.
They put the tv remote in plastic for "deep cleaning" but leave "icing" on the furniture. I'm guessing their deep cleaning isn't very deep, nor very clean. A hand held shower is fancy? My house must be exotic, it has 2 😂.

I get the resort is a value resort, but the bare walls, the lack of theme, and ther sterile feel is outrageous. At close to 400 a night, it's offensive to treat these families, with kids, to rooms that are so uninspired. My wife's hospital room when she gave birth looked very similar. I want to support disney, but they are making it hard.

Entitled disney fans moaning about shared artwork - priorities. Say you all are Disney fans yet all I see on most channels and comment sections are people moaning and whinging over trivial things. Don't go - save yourself the heartbreak over the artwork and chair decor🤧😮💨

What do you expect new furniture for every guest. I would go into every room not expecting it to be clean, and clean it my self. If you don’t then your fooling yourself.
