    One of the most underrated wildlife activities in New Zealand is right here in Rotorua. Today we’re checking out Wingspan Rotorua which is the National Birds of Prey Centre in New Zealand. The Birds of Prey Centre holds birds of prey or New Zealand raptors that are rehabilitated to be released back into the wild.

    I lived in Rotorua for close on 45 years, It an amazing place with plenty to see and do. Hubby and I were ardent trout fishermen and Saturdays in the season would see us out on Lake Tarawera .

    Wingspan is great isn't it! I didn't get a chance to wear the glove as it was crowded that day, so many people!

    The nz falcon is not the rarest bird in nz but it is the rarest bird of prey in nz
