Visible Wireless Activation on Unsupported or Unlocked Phones - APN Setup Guide

- Visible Wireless is a newer wireless MVNO that is owned by Verizon that utilizes the LTE bands only on the Verizon network. There is no in person customer support and no phone number to call if you have a problem. In this video I will cover what to do if you cant get your "Bring Your Own Phone" to activate properly with Visible Wireless service. Some phones, although they show compatible on the Visible website, do not configure correctly. It is also possible to use phones not specifically listed as compatible by Visible as long as they are unlocked and support the Verizon LTE bands. This is assuming that your service was correctly activated and Visible customer support says everything is good on their end.

Thank you for this video. I have spent 4 days fighting with Visible to get myS8 activated and no one gave me APN settings. I can make calls, text, web search, email and run speedtests. At my house, I normally get 2 bars of Verizon signal (phone shows 3) and downloads are in the 2 - 5 mbps range, but away from here they're in the 30s & up. I was with Verizon for along while until hey got so expensive, so i went with TMobile, who I'm very happy with. The Visible phone is a back up for when I go to my property in Idaho. Verizon is the only carrier that works up there. Thank you again.
This worked on my sprint note 8 sm-950u. I plugged in the sim and followed the instructions for setting up the apn's and could not make any calls. Then I powered off the phone, pulled out the sim card and restarted the phone and opened up the visible app. I plugged in the sim card and then it worked. Great service and all of my features work. I had a bit of trouble this morning with wifi calling, but I went into settings>apps>show systems apps>wifi calling>force stop and then opened up the pull down tray and toggled wifi calling and this resolved it.
If anyone is just changing settings using info from description... Visible IMS... APN Protocol should be IPV4/IPV6.. Thanks for the Great Video..

Nice video. I have had Visible for almost a year now. I've been happy with it for the most part. I love the unlimited hotspot. I use it frequently. I initially got service and a free phone. The ZTE A7 Prime is what I got and it was pretty good. I always wanted a better phone. After many months I ended up finding a good deal on a factory unlocked Galaxy S8. I put the SIM in and everything needed was downloaded. It worked great. I live out in the boonies, so to speak, where the coverage is a bit weaker but still works better than other prepaid services.

I am SO THANKFUL for this video and information! I have contacted Visible multiple times since receiving the SIM card and they have not had any suggestions other than to send me a new SIM chip. This saved the day!

Which carrier did you originally have your note 9 on?
I did too but I can send text but the recieve hits my pixel. So I think I have to opt out of the Google messages or add it to the note ⁹ I'll try that next time I swap the sim.

Thank you so much for this. I have been with Visible for over a year and I love it. So I was really disappointed to find out that my husband's new S20 was "not compatible." Your method worked and it activated just like in the video.
A tip for other users: the only APN to show up for me was the first one, the one that needs to be selected, "Visible Internet." I still went ahead and input the others even though they didn't show up in the selections, and it will worked when I restarted it. Thank you so much.
I have a Galaxy S7 which is not supported. I had seen all kinds of ideas from flashing ROM with TWRP which would have meant resetting up my accounts. Changing the APNs was not happening because they were gryed out..
In the end all I did was reset my network settings, put my sim in a iPhone 6 that already had the service activated and then put it in my S7 phone. Works great now. The data is a hundred times slower[@2 bars service] than my broadband internet but at least I got it working. Thanks!

Oh my God... Thank you. I sat through my entire Birthday with no phone or text because VISIBLE thought I was Invisible. The offered me $5 in credit for ruining my Birthday. I finally found your video... I told them... "APN settings... can I have them?" My god they acted as if I was asking for Moses' original stone tabs. Then I found your video. In twenty minutes you and I accomplished what the fucking company could not do in twenty-four hours (I went straight, resolute that I would not stop till it was working). THANK YOU! We have found that everything works on my wife’s phone except she can’t send MMS’s but receives MMS’s. The message she keeps getting is invalid address. We have reset the APN,searched the internet and have done everything suggested like clear cache, turn airplane mode on/off, etc and she still can’t send MMS. Do you have any suggestions?

Nice,... Been with Visible happily for like 18 months,... Wife's unlocked S9+ was compatible but had a shit of a time getting it to work but Visible persisted & got us going in the absence of this video.

You are a lifesaver, Jack of All, I used your instructions on my Galaxy Note 9 when I signed up for Visible and they said it couldn't be done LOL. I had a problem recently sending pictures via text and I texted Visible when I should have texted you LOL. For all others reading this, when I worked with Visible techs, they reset my sim, had me refresh the network--Well whatever happened I lost all connection to the Visible Network--Re did the names - rebooted and all back to normal AS WELL as ow I can send pictures again -- Had to be one of the 4 sections that had wrong data--

Would this work using Visible's eSIM? I'm trying to activate a Pixel 6 Pro(unlocked and working with a physical SIM on Xfinity Mobile), the eSIM download fails but some info get loaded onto my phone including some of the APN setting, but I only get bars with am exclamation symbol on it. The imei number is compatible, Visible Support is useless and keeps asking me to the same thing over and over.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S8+. When I tried to add the Visible Internet APN (4th on the above list of APNs) I following Error message popped up. "This APN is not allowed on this device. Please try another one." Does anyone know a how to fix this??? I still can't get my phone to work on Visible's network.

Hi, I had a note 9 unlocked and it worked flawlessly. But I just upgraded to the new network , and would believe it doesn't work ? I am heart broken. Such a great phone and it now doesn't work. I know there must be a way. Please, any suggestions ?

I was told its not verizon its ran by former Verizon employees. And it runs off there network but there not related or atleast that's what I got out of the conversation with chat about why my phone is not compatible

@@stevo2011sb It also seems that Visible is run as a separate company. This is why Verizon doesn't handle customer service for Visible.

i cant get my iphone to get service, i have tried visible physical sim, esim, and multiple different iphones and it just activates service but i get no signal, i get "No Service" any have a fix for this?
Been on Visible for a year now.Excellent coverage with good data speed most of the time.Having a problem getting MMS to work properly.I can receive MMS,but can't send MMS.It worked fine for months,but stopped a couple of months back I tried several aftermarket messaging apps,but sti doesn't work.Visible support polite but not able to correct the problem.Note: Visual Voicemail stopped working at the same time.This issue is occurring with 3 BLU G90 phones different family members are using on Visible.Has there been an APN change ?
I appear to have solved my MMS issue by making one change in the Visible APN settings.In the Visible Internet APN,under "APN type" change "default,dun,supl" to default, supl,mms.Not only did this change fix the MMS issue,it appears to have fixed my issue with visual voicemail.

Great video, would this work on a tablet? If i have a cell/sim enabled tablet that was unlocked and bought a "phone line" with visable could i put the sim in and do this to make it work and connect to the internet?

Most unlocked iphones are working all networks but ulocked android phones must have gsm+CDMA to work

Hi I have a fold really fast did it tell you that your imei isn't capable but using this it still works anyway, it keeps showing up that its not for me but mine others are using it just well if you tell me you got that but error message (it doesn't work with your imei) and it does it'll mean alot thanks
@@philisphil9083 what abt 5g ? Is your 5g working with that setting i hace S20 ultra 5g i return the visible service cause i cant activate the line sim was not reading signals the customer service was painful so i return the service and get back to tmobile i have verizon s20 ultra unlocked
@@V_C-R did you type everything in correctly it actually worked for me I was able to be service if restarting once didn't work id say twice will just make sure everything is right and exact, its working for me the only reason I was anxious was because I was moving and needed unlimited Hotspot its working for me I checked other sources to confirm but if u have the sim try it ill still show even if its not activated just not work but its a good indicator.

@@philisphil9083 i never set up any apn cause i cant tap ob apn it deactivate my apn switch after i put visible sim in it do u think i can change apn setting before i put i sim in and that time i dont have these settings i got so mad that i throw my sim in trash i guess i need to get a new sim.

I am looking at my Samsung Galaxy A71 5G with y Version sim card installed and the Access Point Named add button is not activated. When I take the sim card out Access Point Names is not available. Will this change when I insert the Visible sim card?

I tried that with a phone for cricket. I added the apn but still not compatible. It goes by IMEI no matter what you do

You were a lifesaver for my first samsung s10 plus yet on my second one I can not get access to the APN with the notification user doesn’t have access. This is when I use the visible sim where it says verizon is the network operator. After much experimentation, I put in an old tmobile card which did give me access to add an apn yet they wouldn’t save correctly. So what would be the best course of action can I flash my phone will that remove it. If it will can you recommend a video on safely doing that or perhaps create a how to video of your own please. Any help in resolving this is greatly appreciated!🌈🌈🌈

Alright so I have a Verizon S9 note sm960u so it's made for Verizon unlocked and it should work with visible invisible says it doesn't work with them can your method work with them I mean I don't want to spend money and buy the service I've already tried them Services good enough but that was about six months ago on a different phone that was made for visible from visible so if I follow your steps will it work honestly. this is a I feel it should since my phone is made for Verizon and Verizon owns visible but let me know cuz I don't want to waste money on it otherwise I'll have to sell my phone and buy one specifically how to work with it
Wow just heard about new plans, Looks like I will need a new SIM card for my non-compatible S9 that you were able to help me get the APN settings added to make it work on visible network. Do you know if those APNs will need to be updated for the new plans and new SIMs? Thanks.
What do I do if the only APN listed, and more importantly the add button, are both greyed out? I've tried following every guide I can find to make it happen, but nothing has worked, I'm pulling my hair out over this one. Has anyone had this issue? Trying to bring over a samsung galaxy S9+
My phone did let me use the Visible SIM card. I activated on a Galaxy S10+ because my Moto G Stylus 5G IMEI was not reported to work with Visible. But after activating the SIM using the Galaxy S10+ and putting it in my Moto G it works with one issue. The Wi-Fi calling is not working. I get a message when I try to turn Wi-Fi calling on that says "Unable to activate Wi-Fi calling at this time. Please try again later." I am connected to both Visible and to a strong Wi-Fi network. I had read this may be because the phone is not getting carrier updates. Do you know of a fix for this?
Can this work on a galaxy s10? I put in all 4 apns and it still doesn't work... I have full bars and it says lte in the status bar but calls don't go thru... and messages and internet don't work either. Is it an issue unique to the s10?
What happens now though. They have locked apn settings to where I can not change them?

I have a s10e that I bought a year ago and love, is on Android 10 update, when I check in visible website says that is not supported, I always get updates though you think it will work, or I need to change the APN to make it work.
Love this video. Have one question though. Once you do this updating to your android phone, will you beable to swap out the Visible sim and go back to another carriers service? Or will you have to change all this info again?
Yes. If you put another sim card in it will change automatically. But if you then decide to put back in the visible sim you will have to do this over again.

There is no option to Add APN (Access Point Names) on LG V60. It's a Verizon phone (not unlocked). Does it HAVE to be unlocked for this to work? Visible runs on VZ networks.

I had spent several hours on the phone with visible to get this resolved getting cut off once, they sent me a new Sim, which didn’t work. I found your video so I thought I’d give it a whirl. I actually have 2 Samsung S 10+ and I saw in the comments the processed worked for some and some didn’t.
So one of my phones would not let me have access to the APN at all since it said I did not have permission. The other one which I has never been used that I did give me access and I followed your procedure precisely. And I am so thrilled to have it up and running. My Samsung S20 ultra wouldnt save these settings . I got message saying " Access point Name settings are not available for this user"
I have a galaxy s10e (though the IMEI is not compatible). It let me add the Visible Internet but won’t let me add the IMS. I hit save but it doesn’t show on APN list. I’m a newbie, any suggestions.
Do the same steps apply if you're already a Visible customer and trying to switch to a "unsupported APN" phone?

When you talk about flashing your firmware, I assume that means you had to unlock the bootstrapper first? The G-950-U1 I just bought has v8 bootstrapper, and as far as I can find, if it was v1-v7 it'd be ok but the v8 is completely uncrackable, and due to carrier gripes, Samsung never made an unlock tool for it. Almost no one has figured out how to do it except like 1 guy, and he later took down his resource page because apparently it was hard bricking half the phones that people tried it on. Would like to get your thoughts on the firmware thing, if you think its necessary or will your fix will work permanently? If it will stick without me having to do anything else I'm probably ok with that, if you think it will present other issues later on, thinking I should just return the phone and try to get another one. Thanks.
I have an unlocked Samsung Galaxy A50 (SM-A505U) that was originally sprint, but unlocked and still cannot get this working. I can enter in the first APN and nothing changes. I enter the second one and I can't get it to save to the list. I put the sim in from visible and it always says no service and no bars. Any suggestions? Can the a50 be re-flashed to the a505u1 firmware?

As long as you are already activated you don't need the visible app.
How are gif images? Mines are just frozen images, only when receiving. Outgoing the gif is fine.
Do you think this method will work on a unlocked Verizon LG G5 with the new $30 plan?
I have a iPhone 13 pro Max brand new from visible cannot get it to activate. Waiting 24/48 hours for them to call. Should I try this on a new phone???

When I sign in on the app and say activate, I get a "welcome back you left some things in your shopping bag" and I can't do anything else.
Have a xperia 5 ii dual sim version I'm able to put in new apns but still does not work I get a 30114 error message. Also it doesn't accept dun on one of the lines of the internet. apn. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Does anyone have issues with picture messages coming in a little blurry or video messages either not coming in, coming in as a still picture and an audio clip that can’t be played also?
