Love your new camper - doesn't have to be big or expensive to be fun!! The dog, the food, the games, the campfire - ah - everything camping should be! Oh, and the LOVE between you two is evident - happy 20th anniversary!!
Thank you for your awesome comment! I agree it doesn't have to be expensive to be fun! And yes we really love each other, doesn't seem like 20 years. Thanks again!
What a great video! Fantastic campsite with a nice campfire. I hope you all enjoy camping with your new camper for years to come. I look forward to more of your adventures. Have fun camping!
We just bought a new A-liner Ranger10. We love it! It’s a wonderful use of a small space with a lot of storage. We have an HOA neighborhood so we had to get something that stays in the garage. Had a pop-up camper for years when we had the kids camping with us. This is so much easier to set up!! We have enjoyed it so far and are happy with the purchase.
We had a Chalet camper very similar to the Aliner, for 20 years. One thing I wanted to caution you about is your slide out bed. Because you are quite heavy you will need to reinforce the plywood platform, otherwise it will bend and possibly split. It can only take so much weight before it gives out.
Thank you very much! Happy to hear you enjoyed the video. We had wanted to get this trailer for a long time so we could take our dog as well as go camping any season. We have been loving it! Thank you so much for your feedback. It makes it worthwhile to do these videos when you know people are enjoying them.
@@audioman6565 oh yeah bluesy is great! My wife and I both had spaniels. Now we have 2 Chihuahuas so taking them is always an adventure. We look forward to more fun times with the 3 if you
Nice video. We got ours a few days ago, same year and model but with double dormers. We went to test it out at a nearby campsite the same night we got it and hubby already broke it 🙄 lol He forgot to put the pin back on one of the wind assist bars and it completely broke off while we were driving. We drove on the right lane so hopefully it didn’t cause any damage. It takes some time to get used to but it was definitely more comfortable than a tent which we’ve been using for the last few years.
Oh wow! Happy you got one sorry you had a problem with it already. It does take awhile to remember everything. I go through a mental checklist and hope I don't forget anything. Lol! Congrats on camper though. Happy for you
Congratulations on your 20th many continued blessings. The Aliner is a great camper. And now with fuel prices so high, is better on fuel, with less wind drag while towing. And for folks that live in a HOA ideal for a garage or under the radar in your yard. We own a Grand Design XLS 22mle and we love it. Yet I may purchase a 2nd TT (travel Trailer) for long- distance runs over 1000 miles. And have my eyes on A-frame with a cassette toilet. Love the original UTube Video & Pics.
Thank you! Glad to hear your comment. And yes your right good gas saver with prices now days. Thanks for watching. I just used it this weekend again with a friend. Will be posting that trip in the future
We got our 2021 Ranger 12 last November and just completed our initial "shakedown" trip from eastern Wisconsin to New Mexico and back through Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, South Dakota and Minnesota. We camped in both national and state parks, as well as a few private campgrounds, along the way. We are SOOOO glad we got the Aliner. It is perfect for us. I know you will enjoy yours, too. Great video! BTW: I got my butt kicked in cribbage, as usual. 👍👍
When we first started trailer camping we rented a 12' A-Liner a few times. We loved it but ended up buying a small toy hauler so we could take a motorcycle and use the ramp as a patio. The A-Liners are the best pop ups, congrats on your purchase.
I'm really beginning to think that a pop up hard top like this is the way to go. I bet I could store that in the garage too. We also have an older dog. lol We just don't currently have a vehicle that is set to tow, but once we upgrade my archaic wheels in a few years we will. Great video- thanks for sharing.
Ur welcome. Thank you. The aliner trailers are pretty light. My vehicle is only a 4 cylinder car and isn't a problem. But check with dealer they do have lots of options. Hope it works out soon for you!
Where or you camped? it looks nice! Just a tip, the suggested order for set up is to level the Aliner all directions, then open the camper and only then put down the stabilizers. It puts less stress on everything above the frame.
Thanks for the compliment. No washroom on this model but they do have it on the other models or you can get a cassette toilet. We usually go to sites that provide a washroom. But if we decide to go off the grid we may get a cassette toilet. Thanks again for watching and the positive feedback!
Haven't had any issues. We took it in the winter camping and in the summer camping and no problems. Still have to post the winter videos. Loving it so far!
@@audioman6565 I did a little more research and it seems that properly leveling the trailer before raising the sides is key to getting a nice tight fit.
I’ve really been watching videos about A-liners, I think it would be a good fit for my husband and I. I wonder if I can set it up myself, I’m about the same size and height as Ali. My husband is handicapped, but gets around on forearm crutches, so he will be able to maneuver around inside with no problem, he just won’t be able to participate in setting up and breaking down. Guess I need to go to a dealership and try it out.
Yes. You should be able to. I left that in the video as a funny spot. We were on pavement and Ali just needed to go down further for leverage. The other option is I didn't have her put out the step by the door. And u can stand on that with the wind assist kit and have more leverage. When we bought it Ali did it by herself. I really think it was just due to the height of the pavement and where her leverage was. I'm further down when I did it. U can always try it at the dealer to make sure u are able. I hope it works out for you.
Yes it can. Checked with Hyundai first. It's a 4 cylinder with GDI engine which makes a difference on amount that can be towed. I didn't get dormers and i wouldn't go any bigger than the ranger 12 or it couldn't pull it
You do have to kinda tuck you head into the bubble window. It's not bad if you do that. I'm 5ft 10 and I don't have an issue. You can also move the couch more forward and put extra pillows if you need more room.
Towing it with a 4 cylinder 2020 hyundai tucson with GDI engine. Checked with Hyundai and they said it wouldn't be an issue. It's 1650pds dry weight and the trailer has brakes as well. No issue just know that it's recommended to drive only 60mph when pulling a trailer. I did have to have a brake controller installed and electric for lights and brakes. I believe it's a 7 pin connector. No issues. Been on 3 trips so far. Plan to take to Maryland next. I did install the hitch myself with a friend. Really easy to do. Hope that helps answer your question. Feel free to ask if you need any other help. Thanks for watching. Glad u liked the video

Congratulations on your new camper!! I would actually love to have an Aliner! They are awesome little campers!!! Thanks for sharing this video with us!! And out of curiosity what campground were you guys at?
I don't think it was a lack of strength for her to pop the top. It was that she's too short to overcome inertia x gravity. He's a good foot and more taller than her, so irrespective of strength, that makes the vital difference.
We are going to try a step stool for her the next time we go. We tried her standing on the step with the wind assist and that didn't work. We werent sure if it was strength or height. I do agree i think it is her height. Hopefully the step stool will help. Thanks for watching and the suggestion.
