….been following sincerely your videos❤️….am a retired teacher from the Philippines, and on TH-cam in my ‘quiet moments’👏…hope you wouldn’t mind my query--are you both(hubby) Americans?
I love Venice. I took my finance there in the early 1980s and we ordered our wedding Crystal from Murano island. (Wedding crystal was thing!) I had given up on it ever arriving and then about six months after we were there, it arrived in the mail and not a piece was broken. I still have a few pieces left after much love and moving. It still brings me joy.
I think you and the other family did great in choosing each other to travel with. For all the children to find new friends who enjoyed each other's company was truly a fortunate and wonderful thing. I loved this video.
I am a product of the 60's and raised in a commune. I see a lot of that aspect in your beautiful family. Different of course but the applications are there. I don't have money to help support your amazing family, if or when I do I will absolutely do that. Until then please know that myself and my 16 year old granddaughter watch you and your family in this amazing project every time we can. Thank you Brady, Heather and both of your amazing daughters ❤️❤❤❤.
This was one of your best videos. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful adventure. You are great travel guides if you get tired of your stone residence.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful trip with us ,,I can see why you moved ,,,and those beautiful bells ringing I love hearing them ,,,I loved watching the kids having such a great time with one another & learning about our great world ,,I enjoy your channel so much ,,looking forward to the next video already ❤😊
Great video! Hey, none of your video’s are “normal”, that’s why I love them so much. Being an Italian, whose family emigrated to Canada fifty years ago, the art city of Florence, and Venicio where so beautiful. Thank you for this. Btw, the cinematography was vibrant😢, and Magnificat!
I discovered your channel by accident and started watching your videos..literally all of them: I can only say I’m impressed by your genuine curiosity, by the amount of life you’re putting into your days, by your being what really looks like such a positive presence in this world, building incredible memories for your kids that will inspire them during their entire life. I really feel the need of giving something back: I’m from the Conegliano-Valdobbiadene area (where real Prosecco is produced), it’s an incredible place and despite being part of Unesco heritage it’s still yet to be discovered by tourism and keeping incredible wisdom to be shared. If I can help you in anyway enriching the menu of your life with a “prosecco dish”, I’ll be more than glad. Wishing you all the best journey.
Interesting video. We loved Venice, we stayed in an apartment in an old Palazzo and loved staying in the city in the evening when the tourists have mostly gone home and you can wander the streets and explore . We also took in a baroque concert in a beautiful Old church. One night as we were walking home from a restaurant the mist was hanging over the canals and it was ghostly quiet evoking the classic Donald Sutherland, Julie Christie film 'Don't look now'. Florence I think is best visited out of season so you can explore the fantastic architecture. I would consider planning a tour of Sicily. 😊
This video brought my heart so much joy! I lived in Naples from 6 months until I was 4and a half years old and I would love to return to Italy one day and take my grandson. As far as family friendly or Adult adventures it would be nice to do both. What beautiful scenery and Architecture and history in Italy, it is Absolutely Stunning ❤ I think for me personally Tuscany is the most beautiful... The lushes green, the grape vines the gorgeous landscape... I am more drawn to country than the city... The cooking class you took part in is something I know myself and grandson would absolutely LOVE ❤ Thank you so much for sharing this video and your advice on how to make things more affordable. God's Blessings and Love to you and your Family 🙏♥️🙏❤️
I loved the gondola ride in Venice. The gondola allows you to go down some of the small side canals and is quiet and calming. Sometimes you can see people's laundry hanging on a line over the canal. People will be looking out their windows and wave to you. It's a great experience. Many people try to label it a "corny", it really isn't.
Ignore ignorant people. They reject learning, enculturation, accepting other cultures and why there are even canals, how they were built and why,. why windows were built the way they were and how people used to scale the side of the building to get inside.
I love Florence and Venice. They are only two of the many jewels of Italy. Venice is one of those cities you have to be willing to noodle around in, especially dead end alleys! Lol
Very nice idea. I'm Italian, I have been traveling for years, most of the time in an affordable way. I prefer to travel alone, to adapt to my own rythm and age. Well done you!
I loved the way you guided the families through everything. If I had young kids I would totally join your group trips with your family. My kids are now adults so I would love to visit with them. So adults only would be great. Your trip looked like so much fun, even if it were adults only. Thanks for sharing it!😊
Thank you so much for this wonderful video! I would love to visit Italy as my fathers family is from Naples. You so deserved this wonderful time there as you work so hard on your property.
Loved everything about this. I also think you've tapped a niche in the travel market that has always been lacking, which is organized family travel. What an awesome group that joined you; the camaraderie and the age groups matched so well. How fun for your daughters, especially! We took our kids to Europe when they were younger but it was never organized, and we just "winged it" if you like. To be honest, there are so many travel companies catering to solo travelers, or (dare I say) a more mature/senior market, but this was so so lovely to see how well all the families bonded, and (as you said) now friends for life.
I'm British and we took our two sons to Greece at nine and eleven to Crete a Greek Island. We mixed with the locals, a lot speak English by the way. That's how you get to know the culture of a country. My husband and I have been back to the same village and we are treated as family, that's how you get to know the culture of a country, not the tourist thing!
@@joannakennedy6005 Totally agree. I'm still friends with an Italian family that I met when I backpacked around Europe as a 19-year-old. British kids tend to take a gap year (at least I did). American kids, not so much. By the way, I also used to live in Europe and am also British.
I have been to Venice twice, and absolutely love the city. My favorite is Burano (the lace making) and the history. We didnt go on the gondola because of the expense... but I got a beautiful shot of the Grand Canal at Sunset. Would love to go back.... and I would love to go to Saturnia. And I love Sorento and the Dolomites. And if you go to Turkey, definitely go to Ephesus (Kusadasi)
Thoroughly enjoy all your videos, but this one was a pleasure. What an amazing opportunity to share the joy of travel and friendship! I love this idea of yours, and heck, I would be down for all group tours, with family, without children and just hanging at a ranch somewhere! I was in Venice once, and you are so correct about it not being easy to navigate, however the more my husband and I got lost, the more we enjoyed ourselves. Cheers! Keep up the great content!
I am 70, have never flown - have had no desire, hence never crossed the pond. But watching this video has sparked my imagination. It made me feel happy and has me imagining the joy of having this experience with my husband. And living on a fixed income, $500 would be so do-able. Kudos for all you do!
A cheaper way to do Venice is to stay in Verona which itself is very nice. It's sandwiched between Venice and lake Garda. The train service to Venice is very good and you can easily do Venice in a day.
I’d love a trip. I’ve been on tour guided trips and find them to be too fast pace and I could never hear what is being said nor stand for long periods trying to hear. I rather take a trip and be free to go to and see what I want, take local tours if available. I will check out your course. A friend of mine and myself want to take a trip to Ireland, Scotland and England.
I just wish I could go back to Venice. I am 75 but if good health. I was there 22 years ago, for one day, my husband hated it, but I was full of wonder and wanted to see way more.

I agree with you, Venice is beautiful and I have wonderful memories of our family visit. We, like you, veered off the beaten track and wandered those alleyways, you do find yourself in small piazzas and then eventually back onto the main paths. What fun!

We took our two youngest to these two destinations (Venice and Florence) along with many other Italian destinations when they were high school! They had two years of Latin and lots of Eurooean History under their belts so paying tour guides was well worth it!❤😊
