Curiosity got the better of me. I had to drone this place. Cars can end up scrapped for many reasons. Many cop cars scrapped. No idea how new or old they are, why they ended up there, or at what cost to taxpayers.

Police cars typically run for around four years then sold on. They are obv run 24/7. Ordinary vehicles don’t go through red lights or get rammed. This is where the workshops send all their dead cars.

Years ago a realty show followed the activity of the Cheshire Police vehicle maintenance garage. Recall they readily disposed of damaged police vehicles. Afterall, no driver accountability and not their money for replacements.
My god my eyes have been opened up by this, the money the British people pay out for them to have fun is hurting us all, awful shame and disgusting.well done young lady I appreciate all you do 👍

Police vehicles like any other vehicle have a finite life span. There will be a point where it is not economically viable to repair them. Albeit, some will have been damaged due to human error.

To be fair, they do get well maintained and a fair amount get auctioned off after their service life.
I think the amount we see here is indicative of how police have to drive nowadays to stop hardened crims, dealers and ferals.
