Something about how visceral this game is. The visuals, the sounds, the FFB and tricky handling of the cars. Also the general atmosphere of the game, the tracks and the racing just feels so alive. LMU has quickly become my favorite sim, bugs and all.
I love it as well but the ffb is not as good as rf2 ffb, I hope that this will be fixed later on.
The sound is fantastic, I was just driving against AI in a GTE, the sound when the hypercars and LMP2’s pass you is insane
Asides from the odd bit of lag etc here or there, I have to agree ….
I Spent two hours doing a race weekend at Bahrain in the Hyperclass Porsche 963 and I was taken back.
This was after completing a long stint on ACC at silverstone in the 992 GT3. So excited to see how the LMU platform develops

LMU has already gotten to be one of my favorites, game is just so fun to drive, even with its issues.

I’m absolutely loving LMU
I think very few of us expected LMU to be as compelling as it is, especially this early. As much as MG has, deservedly, taken a lot of flak for what they have, or rather haven't, achieved thus far, they seem to be hitting a home run out of the park here. Overall I feel this has the best potential of any focused sim for longer than I care to remember, probably back to the glory days of Papyrus.
I'm thoroughly enjoying the physics of the cars. It feels great to catch cars in the turn and the feeling of holding a slip angle just feels much better than anything else out there.
This may sound silly, but it's nice to see that there's multiple tracks in this sim. When i heard the name "Le Mans Ultimate" my thought was "How do they expect to have a successful sim with just the Le Mans track? How boring is that going to get?" 😄

I’ve been an isimotor fan for 20 years, through the rFactors now LMU and I read Rennsport has licensed it from image space as well.
Great times ahead for the engine, there’s just nothing like it out there when paired with a dd wheel.
The game is looking very very realistic when we talk about the colors and the atmosphere
I did two races last night at Sebring.
I have to admit this game is better than IRacing
In terms of Graphics, FFB and Physics
Not that difficult tbh
I am also loving it. Right now the basics works well and it's great fun. It can only improve on what are great bones.
Tell me this wasn't the best 25 quid you have spent in a long time. Even at this early stage it is fantastic, even in VR via the back door it looks and runs amazing. Will be even better when thay officially release VR support. This has got so much promise, very exciting so far.
How do you make it work in VR?

I am a big Rfactor fan but was shocked by just how good this was. It is way better than I thought it would be.. I think this is going to be huge with a great online player base

Hi Dave, nice job there, certainly nail biting near the end.
Good lines, only place I think you can find more time is trying to cut Gendebien Bend on the inside over the kerbs and then Sunset bend maybe earlier on the gas out.
You're making the title more appealing every day. It looks great.

Now that I have got the game running and have wheel settings that’s aren’t bad. Dave is right, I have never felt connected to the car like I have in LMU. Even on my G29 I feel the front tire slip. Once this game has the bugs worked out it will be awesome
I bought it yesterday after sitting on the fence, I'm so glad I did. The feel and connection is on another level. I see this becoming the goat 🐐 it obviously has issues and will need time, but despite the bugs and lack of content, it absolutely nails thr driving experience and that will keep people interested until they sort the sim out.
I really noticed last night driving the Porsche GTE that getting in the gas too early you can drive through it unlike ACC. I was even able to save a 4 wheel drift going into turn 1 at Sebring way too hot.

I had never driven an LMP2 or driven anything at Sebring before this week, and at the start I hated it. After 4 or 5 races and bunch of practices, I got hooked. It made me sad having to go back to GTEs at Monza in-between races.

the default head movement in this game made me not play it for 3 days after i first tryied it now it is my favorite racing game lol

Damn, that was an exciting race! I wish it had been long enough to fight for first place.
It's great S397 didn't dilute the bumpiness of Sebring for an "easier but unrealistic" experience. LMU based on rF2 great physics, tire model and FFB, has the potential to be a real winner having it all for the simracing community. So S397, bugfixing, bugfixing, bugfixing ... (and VR support please)
I played and enjoyed all the sims there are out there, I really liked some of them but this is the only one that really got me hooked. I absolutely cannot go back to any of the others, I don’t care about the rain in Iracing or the Nirdschlafle in ACC, the little free time I have will be for this sim only

What really catches me out is that there are no cones at breaking markers. Its going to take a while to get used to! Lot more fun then fugi, though!
sucks I can't really do much racing anymore. Would've loved to play this sim.
Same thing happened to me yesterday I did two races one in Lmp2 and one in the Gte, the second race in Gte didn't show my results or on my history
Dave can you please upload your precision sim racing panel box profile up for others to use. I watched your other video but I have no idea how to customize through simhub. Would love to use yours vs the original. Maybe a video on how to make a profile would be great to see. Then you can get rid of the pit stop stuff you wanted too

Hey Dave Great Race. I cant get the telemetry to pick up the motion of my fanatec dd wheel. Any clue what that might be? The inputs to the pedals work
What Gfx settings are you running dave? Unless its the stream, your visuals look very smooth. I seem to have a very jaggy looking view with mine. And I'm running a 7900 XTX
You really notice the bumps here, but good race and shame on the results. Are you using Tiny Pedal for the radar overlay? If so there was a new version that came out last week with a damage widget so you can see where damage is.
Is there a guide anywhere on how to get Racelab working on LMU? Or do you just follow the Rfactor 2 guide?

The dash cam doesn't show any body lean side to side when hard cornering.. makes it less realistic. Does driver cockpit view show better in this regard?

Their plan is to add the entire 2024 roster as DLC if the game is successful (which it looks like it will be now). That would be a whole new set of LMGT3s and the addition of new Hypercars and the tracks that are new for 2024. Beyond that, they have talked about adding historic cars so hopefully plenty more to come over the next year.
How is the AI in this game? A bit in par with AMS2?

I had to Uninstall the game from steam and gonna try reinstalling it because it was freezing up on me. It wasn't letting me get into anything once at the starting menu. I had a few great races the first day I installed it and had no problems, but the last 2 days, I've messed with it trying to get it to run but with no avail. And it's not my PC because I wasn't having any issues at all with ACC or iRacing. Fingers crossed this works, I think it's a fun sim and feels great, so..
Can someone objectively compare & contrast this with rF2 please? I used rF2 exclusively since 2018 until last year when I switched to iRacing. I already have all the content in LMU apart from the new stuff obviously, so if I get LMU am I just buying rF2 2.0 or is it significantly different? Stuff like the UI & whether it's difficult to find a setting doesn't bother me. I'm only interested in the driving aspect. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

Probably a dumb question. What is the sound in the LMP when you get to a lower speed? It sounds like the parking brake is engaging, or a some other electro-mechanical device.
Probably something to do with the pneumatic clutch (if it has one).
@@davecamm makes sense. I have noticed in iRacing as well with LMP2/3. Think I have heard it in a GT3 as well. For some reason it is distracting to me. Especially since I don’t know what the heck it is. Appreciate it.
how do you get the radar?
It calls tiny pedal plug in. There is a video from Dan Suzuki how to install it...
What are the chances of this running on my i7 with 32gig and a gtx 1650? You think its possible?
I7 32gig and 1080ti, run smooth 90fps on medium/low graphics for me
You say at turn 1 you didn’t get the rotation in 4th but you were 10-12km/h faster at the apex. in third you picked up the throttle at 169km/h (ish) and in 4th you was at 180km/h (ish)when you tried to pick up the throttle pushing you wide

The high preset works well with Anisotropic filtering at 16. That's all I've done. Nothing fancy 😁

Have you overclocked /undervolted your GPU/CPU? Is afterburner or/and Rivatuner on your system active?
i made a last lap pass yesterday at this track in the final corner shoukdve heard how loud i yelled ik its not that serious

It baffles me that I cannot get this game to play consistently without crashing, and how others have the graphics maxed out….. I have a high performance PC- built by an COMP engineering mate- the game crashes even when i set graphic options way low!!!! Happy for you but confused
Do you have anything like MSI afterburner or Riva tuner installed? Just check what's running in the background

I can't be the only one who is getting sick and tired of watching Le Mans Ultimate videos. The racing is extremely boring to watch, especially if they are only 24 min long races. At least with endurance racing in iRacing the special event races are interesting to watch with driver swaps, fuel saving, damage repair etc. This isn't a dig at the game BTW it's a dig at the content providers!

@@ducat7493 I enjoyed the rF2 BTCC Races on Dave Cam, he spread the content out between that and iRacing. These LMU races are just sprint races they don't simulate endurance racing at all, that's my point.
At least with Ollies iRacing endurance streams they are 6 hours or more long, they are actually trying to replicate proper endurance racing.
