This actually happened to me many years ago (FFXI). During a scheduled mantenaince, after a disconnection, I logged back in and I realised I was the only one in the server. It was completely empty, but it was still up, and supposedly the mantenaince should have been started already. Nothing came of it, though. No isekai, no Albedo, no OP superpowers. 1/10

There were others who complained about them talking too much iirc,and then the dumbasses spoiling acting as if they weren't doing so and people complaining about all of the people I've mentioned. People were really rude back then, even in other shows reactions, but especially toxic in the overlord ones. It should be really different now that the people watching really do love all their interactions and the way they do stuff. Really looking forward for this one.
A big misconception is that he is "stuck in the game " , this is not the case , his guild actually got transported into "The New World" , which is not a game at all but a actual living place. I'm so happy to see you guys trying this out again and I hope you guys enjoy ^^ love the reactions and content

@@bloodninja2517 Like they stated in the beginning of the video, they had just started to do reactions, and Overlord was one of their first, so the community wasn't as cemented as it is now and people were generally more toxic, then couple that with a whole heap of new viewers there for Overlord (They were still relatively small back then) and you can see how the toxicity can spiral out of control.

Just a few things from this episode I'd like to clarify for you guys that were explained better in the light novels than they were in the anime. - When Momonga started spontaneously glowing when he first started talking to Albedo, it was an "emotion suppresser" effect that he gained due to the fact that he is now a fully undead being. Basically it prevented him from getting too worked up. - He may have been the only player left in his guild that stayed during the server shutdown. But that doesn't mean there weren't still other players from other guilds who stuck around until the end as well. So glad you're bringing this show back!
@@kakahass8845 I'm certainly implying that the possibility exists. I only brought it up because I could've sworn one of them made a brief comment on Momonga being the last player on the server. Though now that I look for it I can't find it. The anime had to trim down a lot of content from the original story, some of which was pretty important information.

I bet the animators and voice-actors (both original and dubbed) loved this series. There's like at least 8 characters (Ainz, Cocytus, Pandora, demon adventurer girl whose name I forget, bug-maid, I think the ninja-girls have masks, and I think dog-maid) whose faces don't move or express that much when they talk. The animators' jobs got so much easier whenever they were on-screen and the VA's got a bit of lee-way (don't need to match-up lip-movements when they don't have lips).
About time! Easily one of my favorite Light Novel series, hope you guys can love it as much as we do. Obviously the anime isn't perfect but I'm just glad you guys are coming back to it at all :)

Important note about the word "bitch" in anime: the word has somewhat different connotations as a loanword in Japanese, and it's honestly disappointing that subbers still leave it as is instead of changing it to "slut." Like, just because it's a loanword doesn't mean it doesn't need translating! It's like how Papa should, especially in… grown-up anime, be translated as Daddy, because that communicates the vibe it has in Japanese.
I don't get why people keep saying Ainz is one of the most OP characters. He's not. Even he himself knows that. Most of the floor guardians can wipe him easily, unless he has a lot of time to prepare and uses bought items. His build was never meant for PvP. On the list of OP main characters, Ainz is middle weight.

Potential spoilers if you want to know about the MC and the world he's from.... I recently found out that the world that the main character comes from is actually depressing. Everything is ran by a huge corporation and you actually have to pay for an education for all grades and the MC only has a 6th grade education because he had to stop and start supporting himself by then. Not only that, the air is incredibly polluted and the sun has been blocked out for years. That game was his only escape from all that.

Yup Remember this one. I thought when one western movie Overlord was out, it was a movie like this anime or maybe a live action of it but it was totally different and it left me feelin dumb 😂 but it was worth the watch.
This same thing happened to me... I just finished downloading a mobile game and decided to make a "Guest" account so I can reroll if I want, then after an hour I stopped playing, and I decided to hop back after 30 minutes break, and the thing is I can't hop back since there is actually a 5 hour maintenance and it's been a 4th hour already, though after the maintenance instead of getting isekai'd I lost my "Guest" account... I'm very disappointed.

yup the whole of Nazarik including Ainz and the NPCs all got wooshed to that world with every NPC gaining sentience based on their programming

This same thing happened to me...
I just finished downloading a mobile game and decided to make a "Guest" account so I can reroll if I want, then after an hour I stopped playing, and I decided to hop back after 30 minutes break, and the thing is I can't hop back since there is actually a 5 hour maintenance and it's been a 4th hour already, though after the maintenance instead of getting isekai'd I lost my "Guest" account... I'm very disappointed.
