- You are right Lisa is Thai . Lisa moved to Korea at 14 to join yg. Her mom is Thai and her stepfather is Swiss.
- Jennie was born in Korea. Both parents are korean. Only spent 5 yrs in New Zealand to study there and went back to Korea after 5 yrs.
- jisoo was born and raised in korea. Both parents are korean. Never live overseas.
- rosé was born in New Zealand and both parents are korean. Her family moved to Australia during her younger years. And went back to Korea at the age of 16 to join yg.

You should look up the analysis of a priest whose sister was a double major at Oxford and she breaks down what all the symbolism means in this music video. At the beginning is the torso and wings of the Greek goddess Nike that's often placed in front of medieval theaters. The way they showed scenes of them under sea and dark "underworld" and the funeral. This is the story infused with Persephone, Hades' wife, with the different seasons also showcased in the video, and the story of Arachne, with the spider themes. You see the umbrellas and such too. Then there's the Trojan horse at the end. It's crazy the amount of effort put into not only Kpop music videos, but their training in dance, music, history, languages, etc. usually starting in their preteen years that people miss in this. It's not just to look pretty.

It's called "kpop" but they are a looooot of style and genre in korean music, we just called all songs from korea "K-POP" but there are artist and groups who do rap, pop, rn'b, metal, rock...
If you are interested, you should try the group "Dreamcatcher, it's a korean girl group who got some rock/metal vibes, i request the song "Scream" it's a good song

Its always fun to watch alternative people react to kpop. Its expected for hiphop and pop fans to easily like kpop but I feel like people who like alternative music are harder to please which makes for an interesting video. As someone who listen to mainly punk/pop punk, rock, indie, etc type music I looooove kpop and have since 2008 in its own cool way its very edgy and different. This song isnt the most ground breaking thing and the lyrics are kinda superficial but I still enjoy it. There are certainly a fuck tone of songs for nonkpop fans to listen to , just gotta search around since kpop isnt one single genre limited to one sound.
Kpop can be deceiving for outsiders since you see the word "pop" and assume its poppy, which yes some songs can be very fluffy but others are very dark and rough.
