Tried this and Cloud Monster 2 last week for 2 miles each (demo run). My experience with Cloud Runner 2 was a lot more enjoyable. This white colorway with touch of gold (laces) and teal looks really nice. I would have a bit more breathability and slightly thinner upper for Texas heat. I agree it is for recovery and easy runs mostly.
Glad to hear you liked the Cloudrunner 2! I was surprised how much I enjoyed running in it. I would always take a lighter upper but I suppose it doesn’t matter because everything I wear is going to get soaked!
The only issue I have with ON running shoes is that it’s hard to tell if the durability will be there. I feel like the midsole dies way before any other aspect of the shoe (in which case they feel like wooden planks with speedboard models). I tried the Cloudrunner 2 in store and I admit it felt comfortable, but I’ll wait for long term reviews/feedback. Anyways, thanks for the review. Recently new subscriber. 🏃
Either wait for a long-term review or wait for the price to come down to where it’s too good a deal to pass up. I have found that most On shoes in the past 18 months have been far softer than they used to be. They reformulated their Helion foam and it’s just so much better now. Thanks so much for the sub! 👊🏽
I tried this ON the other day. I found it to be rather big. Perhaps half sizing down would solve this issue. It is extremely comfortable and looks great. I would use this primarily as a lifestyle shoe. I didn't pull the trigger on purchasing it as im scared of the squeek that on is infamously proun to. Might still grab at discount.
If I wanted the best running-only shoe, I would choose the Pegasus. If I chose by appearance or needed any stability elements I would go with the Cloudrunner.
@@lawrencedevera8619 I haven't actually run in the Novablast 4, but I've heard nothing but good things about it. I do enjoy running in the Cumulus 26 and especially like the rubberized outsole, but both the Pegasus and Cloudrunner feel easier to pick up the pace in. I only use the Cumulus 26 for easy runs.

I'm with you on this having lifestyle vibes, which makes it such a good running shoe when you don't want to bring more than one pair.
Is there anything in the mid sole that adds stability? Unless I missed it, I had heard the medial section of the foam underneath was more firm?
No. They eliminated the speed board in this version. It is pleasantly soft and definitely not firm.
Great review! If you would pick 1 out of the pegasus 41 vs the cloudrunner 2, which would you pick?

@@its_Matt_B_ oh i see. How about against the models from asics? Such as cumulus 26 and the novablast 4? Which would you choose?

@@its_Matt_B_ your answers help a ton! You've earned a sub from me!!! This channel is a friendly channel for begginers! Keep up the good work!
Not an ON runner but I enjoy your reviews.
As always, thanks for watching, Michael! With On’s foams getting softer, I only see them becoming more and more popular!
@@its_Matt_B_ Your reviews are top notch.
True to size ?
Yes! 🙌🏽
I wear a 12.5 2e in NB and got these in size 13
