SANSi is amazing....I have 3 lights like the ones you showed.....I am happy for whoever you pick to win....you are such a sweety.....I have many sansi bulbs as well and my plants thrive with them.....they look like real sun shinning in the house.....love all your plants everywhere.....same at my home :) also you may want to try putting your cuprea in straight perlight in a well draining nursery pot and dont overwater and it will grows new roots....I have saved a few alocasias that way....keep us updated! Hey Janee!!!! Cedar oil is another option, but I really love the rustic look of the chips in the soil. How exciting that you have a shangri la as well. This was on my wishlist forever!!!! I love her. Oh my goodness I would love to have the grow light! My living room has large North facing windows, so kind of limited on plants in there. My Hoya lacunosa like yours had a peduncle with BUDS! I was so excited, been watching it every day.... Today it was yellowed and the whole thing fell off 😭! Oh well, it's pretty without flowers 💚

Oh, Mel! this is truly an interesting plant. It grows very slowly, so you have time to enjoy each and every curly leaf. I was so happy when I found someone on FB who was selling a top cutting for $15. I am very happy with her! I am sure you will enjoy her when you get her.
I would love that light. I have enough windows but not the best location. Your videos are always so good and relaxing. On the plants you put outside so you get a lot of pests when you bring them in?
Hi Paula!!! I use the fall time to change the soil in my plants. everything gets a fresh pot of soil. The keeps all of the pests outside. I bring everything inside in waves. I spend about two weeks re-potting and transferring. The first year I only had one plant that I wanted to bring in. It was a massive fern. I sprayed it over and over again before bringing it inside. I found out later that there was a whole colony of praying mantis living in it. They were everywhere!!! that was mild compared to what it could have been. I learned my lesson!!! I'm not even done with the video yet, but I have to say I am so glad that you let us know about the sap on the leaves of the Rojo Congos because I always thought it was past pest damage. I actually purchased several large leaf philodendrons that all have what looks like the same spots on a couple leaves. I knew it was weird that was only on a few leaves and one section of the plant..lol

Hi Roslyn!!! Yes, Carlos posted the video where I talked about banana water further with a short demo. It is super easy!!! just soak banana peels in warm water for 30 minutes to an hour and then use the water to water your plants. I normally at the banana water after I have watered the plant. I add it to a bottom feeding tray. It works really well with plants that tend to fall victim to magnesium and potassium deficiencies. I use this on my peperomia plants when they have oddly shaped leaves. It gives them the nourishment they need for perfect leaves. My peace lilies seem to love it as well. You are not limited to bananas. You can use potato cuttings, onion skins, carrot shavings... the list is endless. bananas seem to be the things that I always have in abundance. I hope this helps! Hi Junita! Yes, I use the cedar wood chips on the top layer. Cedar is a smell that most pests hate. It is a major help with keeping them away, and I just love the way it looks. LOL!!! The banana water is a banana peel soaked in your plant watering, water for about 30 minutes, then I feed the water to the plants. the vitamins and minerals from the peel go straight to the plant baby and makes them happy and healthy!

I don’t think you are a shark or a pest, just a great plant mom. Banana water? Is that from steeping peels or the fruit? I have a domino peace Lilly that I give rain water with a mild dose of orchid fertilizer. No crisping yet and I’ve had it about 6 months but if there’s a better way I want to know🤓

I make my banana water by allowing the banana peels to steep for 30 to 60 minutes in warm water. I have not used orchid fertilizer. I am sure that is great for them as well. I use bananas because I always have banana peels ready and waiting. The domino is gorgeous! Congratulations on your plant baby!

Oh my goodness I would love to have the grow light! My living room has large North facing windows, so kind of limited on plants in there. My Hoya lacunosa like yours had a peduncle with BUDS! I was so excited, been watching it every day.... Today it was yellowed and the whole thing fell off 😭! Oh well, it's pretty without flowers 💚

Oh, Mel! this is truly an interesting plant. It grows very slowly, so you have time to enjoy each and every curly leaf. I was so happy when I found someone on FB who was selling a top cutting for $15. I am very happy with her! I am sure you will enjoy her when you get her.

I would love that light. I have enough windows but not the best location. Your videos are always so good and relaxing. On the plants you put outside so you get a lot of pests when you bring them in?
Hi Paula!!! I use the fall time to change the soil in my plants. everything gets a fresh pot of soil. The keeps all of the pests outside. I bring everything inside in waves. I spend about two weeks re-potting and transferring. The first year I only had one plant that I wanted to bring in. It was a massive fern. I sprayed it over and over again before bringing it inside. I found out later that there was a whole colony of praying mantis living in it. They were everywhere!!! that was mild compared to what it could have been. I learned my lesson!!! LOL

I'm not even done with the video yet, but I have to say I am so glad that you let us know about the sap on the leaves of the Rojo Congos because I always thought it was past pest damage. I actually purchased several large leaf philodendrons that all have what looks like the same spots on a couple leaves. I knew it was weird that was only on a few leaves and one section of the plant..lol
Hi Raya! I thought the very same thing about these spots. I thought it was pest damage. I kept treating it for pest and putting it in more and more sunny spots. I asked for help on a Facebook group, and everyone said "it's the sap!" I was so happy to have an answer on that.

Hi Roslyn!!! Yes, Carlos posted the video where I talked about banana water further with a short demo. It is super easy!!! just soak banana peels in warm water for 30 minutes to an hour and then use the water to water your plants. I normally at the banana water after I have watered the plant. I add it to a bottom feeding tray. It works really well with plants that tend to fall victim to magnesium and potassium deficiencies. I use this on my peperomia plants when they have oddly shaped leaves. It gives them the nourishment they need for perfect leaves. My peace lilies seem to love it as well.
You are not limited to bananas. You can use potato cuttings, onion skins, carrot shavings... the list is endless. bananas seem to be the things that I always have in abundance.

Hi Junita! Yes, I use the cedar wood chips on the top layer. Cedar is a smell that most pests hate. It is a major help with keeping them away, and I just love the way it looks. LOL!!!
The banana water is a banana peel soaked in your plant watering, water for about 30 minutes, then I feed the water to the plants. the vitamins and minerals from the peel go straight to the plant baby and makes them happy and healthy!

I have a domino peace Lilly that I give rain water with a mild dose of orchid fertilizer. No crisping yet and I’ve had it about 6 months but if there’s a better way I want to know🤓
